Do you know how many hands the money has travelled before coming to you?
It might come from a fish seller, toilet cleaner or a skin diseased person’s hand! Who knows? In simple words, you are keeping a wallet in your back pocket with full of germs. Not only in wallet but also you are touching it every now and then. Sometimes, we are giving money to our child and they put into their mouth.
When we are suffering from diseases, who knows it could be the money which carried the virus! We overlook the issue because we love money and sometime kiss it with overjoy. In fact you are not kissing the money rather virus and welcoming the diseases!
What are the alternatives?
Alternatives like credit or debit card are there but not for all. Still middle class and poor people using money directly.
Still free access of credit card is not available for all class of people due to high charges and credibility issues. Also, you cannot use your card to purchase everything from everywhere due to non availability of the facility.
Technology has advanced a lot. So, using this paper or metal currency directly is not going to fit with the advanced technology.
Free access of cards to the common people with proper justification is a good solution to avoid this unhygienic money. Another solution is to wash all the money you have! But next day you will find zero value of your money and people will not accept that washed money.😀
As cryptocurrency is currently volatile, difficult to adopt it in buying and selling commodities. But I am hopeful and optimistic about crypto to take over the liquid currency in near future when the volatility comes to a sustainable level.

I just have a fancy thought. What if we dont need to use paper money anymore? The day isnt far, though in BD it will always take place 10 years later than some other countries. Very useful article, money is widely used and we tend to forget the possible bad things with money.

There is no doubt that money note is a highly germ contaminated source in our country. biological and chemical both contamination are present in our paper note. We are waiting for crypto currency. Nice tropics...............

As said in my post I am optimistic about digital currency to lead the market and take the place of fiat gradually. But long way to go and volatility should be acceptable range.

I've never seen Money with dirt. But I was washing money in the washing machine (when my husband forgot the money in his pocket). Money remained as it was.

paper money have actually more bacteriums than the street floor. The people that work in banks is always in constant risk to get respiratory pathologys for any germ on the coins or paper floating in the bank air
In bd it's horrible to see. Every money paper is dirty and torn! Imagine when a fish seller return change. It's really bring lots of disease which I don't know at all.
In that case nothing can be better than plastic money. but plastic money it's still a dream for poor people in our country.
