Shipwreck ICO-s?

Ever heard of Dmitrii Donskoii? Me neither but it's all the rage in the news these days. Dmitrii Donskoii is a 19th century Russian warship. In 1905, during the Battle of Tsushima between Russia and Japan, the battleship was sunk. Alas, it was carrying, along with approximately 600 men as crew, hundred billion dollars worth of gold.

Luckily, most of the men escaped the wreck (later captured, but that's another story) but the gold - the gold went under with the ship.

On July 19th, 2018, Shinil Group from South Korea, announced that they have found the ship and are the rightful owners of the wreck. The statement was accompanied with videos and photos of the underwater wreckage.

But what about the ICO, you ask? Well, the Shinil Group (suspiciously sounds like Shill Group, doesn't it) has set up a cryptocurrency exchange named Donskoi International Exchange, promising a share of the profits from salvaged treasures from the wreck to anyone, who trades on their platform, in the form of Shinil Gold Coins and an ICO for the Shinil Gold Coins as well.

Treasures? Crypto? ICOs? Sounds romantic in a nerdy way, but the "Shill Group" might be selling unhatched eggs here. Korea Institute of Ocean Science and Technology (KIOST), a bankrupt construction company and Vladivostok’s military history museum all claim they have discovered the wreck before and demand ownership.

Some experts have also questioned whether there is any gold at all on the wreckage. Scam or just a cool venture? Well, to be seen soon, i hope.

Just for the lulz, I'm adding this pic here of 3 suspicious looking fellows. Can you guess who they are?

Ha-ha, Naksitrallid. One looks a bit like you, guess who :D

I'm thinking one of the 2 leftmost guys?

It has that whiff of age old scams about it .... without solid evidence of the wreckage, today you'd be able to get UAVs and all sorts in there and demonstrate gold was inside, and your rights to the salvage. Now, an ICO well equipped to find the wreck for real? I'd be interested in for speculation ... even if the job took years. False claims and speculation that they have found it without offering genuine proof? Scam! Playing on people's ever more insatiable get rich quick egos

Seems like it. I tried to Google more info about these so-called exchanged and projects, but came a bit short of credible information, perhaps due to a language barrier, perhaps due to it being an outright scam. Shipwrecks and treasure gets the mind imagining things though, doesn't it?

It's gonna pull some suckers in that still have too much early bitcoin, just like so many others did ...

And is it buildTeam on the picture which is on the bottom of your article?

Hahaha, good one :)

Worked for 3 ICOs all russian based - even with my tendency to hardcore due diligence all turned out to be quit scammy. :(

Damn, i hope that you got out without scars at least?

as some very influential people in the field would say, after I had to excuse for the fact that I dragged them into advisory board: "Well that's crypto". So many lessons learned :) so it was for the best :)

Hi @furious-one! As I remember my teacher told us on her classes about that battle and ship. Also about it I read in book of famous Russian writer Valentin Pikul` if I'm not wrong.
So It's great news that the ship was found after so many years!
