Over the past few years I have had hundreds of requests from people who ask me if I would be interested in being a "trading mentor" to them, but sadly I have had to turn down every one of them mostly because of time restraints on my part.
Well I am thinking about, (just thinking), of taking on a few of you to act as a teacher in the Art Of Trading.
I am still thinking of actually how to do this.
*Do I have student(s) actually come to my house and trade with me in real time?
*Do I figure a way to do this over Skype in real time?
*Something else?
I am not sure honestly, and if I were to do this I would not take on more than 1 or 2 of you a week.
If trading with me is something you would be interested in, please comment here and tell me how you would like to get involved. Also tell me how you would like to structure this. For example: as I stated above, at my home, over Skype, something else? How long 1 day, 3 days, a week?
If I can work out the logistics of how to do this with some of you, I would seriously consider it.

I think the best way would be to live stream your trading day and show your screen from how you start looking at what stocks might be good trades, talk about your thoughts on movements, what you are looking for, how to set up your straddle position, etc. Just explaining your general thought process from start to finish would be amazing!

Greg, I've been asking you to set up a system for weeks now. You're freaking brilliant and with 50,000 loyal followers on YouTube, you've got an army of subscribers for your channel. I ask you to do this because you can build on your platform by charging people to get more folks on the train. Win, win for everyone.

I totally agree with @digitalmaster. This would be the most appropriate solution. If you do not go this way, I would be interested via skype but this may have practical difficulties, such as time difference, availability e.t.c

Just as an example: Today I've seen coins that have lower market-caps that Greg has followers. It is amazing.
You got it. He has the following. All he needs now is the platform to properly reach the masses on a website. I say website because he can do so much more on his own private website versus a social account like YouTube or SteemIt.
Also, let's not forget that he could get censored soon. With his own media network, he will not lose his following. They just get shifted.

Greg it would take a lot of your time individually, live sessions announced in advance say covering your 'what to expect next week' videos, then YouTube/Skype live. Maybe a follow-up to explain increasing or closing a position.
I would love to see this happen, but my work leaves only short time for me, so my idea is this:
A great start would be a video, where you alone open the straddle and let it run until you close both positions. In that video, you could comment on some steps you do, what you think at some point, like a HowTo.
For someone, who never traded, this would be really helpful, and ALL your followers could get an idea, of how to do trading.

I'd like to know "why" on that SLV trade myself. At the Sept $14 strike...when you know you close everything out within 3 days or so..."historically" anyway. :-) That means you are "in reality" just buying the call side of the trade. And you bought a gapup. So here's "hoping" it works out for you. The call side of course,. You have "zero" chance on the SLV Sept $14 puts...wouldn't you agree?
I am actually naked on the long side of SLV right now. I can do this because I am a full time trader and can close the position right away if it goes against me. With regard to the strike price I always buy in the money. With the exp. I never really know how long I will hold a position.
That all sounds good, Greg. But you posted your SLV trade early in the morning on Fri and the put side of the trade didn't actually trade until well after noon EST. Here's a ling to the Sept expiry $14 put contracts (and calls) showing that only 26 total contracts traded. Even if you bought them ALL on Fri that $150. You got scared out of $150 when the only price the contract traded at was .06? Again, you need to do very good research if you are going to "debate" me. I am only asking for complete diclosure from you, Greg. Why is that so difficult for you?

I understand what you do. If you want to get things out in the open and trade "live" with as many of your viewrs as possible simply post the price you paid for each options contract you "said" you bought. Is that so difficult to understand?

I would do something so you can record them, & make them available later on. Much like how Option Alpha does it, their platform is really well done. But, I think you should look into maybe having exclusive stuff for Steemit community so you can still earn without charging membership fees as a lot of people wouldn't be able to afford. What about all the people Greg who took your actionable investment advice? I read a comment last year where a guy was talking about silver pumpers. The guy said his buddy listened to all of the silver stories, He invested all of his life savings. He killed himself because he bought silver at 55 . When silver crashed it wiped out his retirement. The man killed himself as a result. His buddy told the story in a comment section, he was financially hurt too. While you were never mentioned by name, how many people are financially underwater as a direct result of the actionable investment advice you give. Here is a video i did on it. I start talking about you at 2:40 and the comment is at 4:00 into the video.

That would be fantastic! Ten years ago, I used MB trading. Loved the easy format, but then in Kansas City I also attended the Online Trading Academy (OTA). You should try something like that perhaps, but using a gotomeeting format. You could charge handsome fees and all us suckers would pay! But the knowledge you have is worth any time a person would spend to learn and pay forward.
I would want to make this as easy for people as possible. I know there are sites that charge wicked fees, that is not what I would do.
I have listened to you and followed your YouTube channel for a good year and a half, maybe more. I pattern trade with the two kids at home. But just your insight into financials is very valuable.
That's good. You will up the ante with low cost. But OTA does have a good platform. And perhaps Steemit has a following of gamers who could set up a play and trade platform. I found it easy to learn when I wasn't sweating profits. But in a few weeks from the start, I would parallel trade my real money alongside the game to be able to see the right times to buy and sell, the strikes and learn to execute confidently. I got cocky on margin one day in late 2009 and got a phone call from the SEC - took a few years off. So it's good to explain risk involved, too. A good many teachers leave out the risks.

I dont think you even need to do this live as long as you show your screen for people to know how you are deciding what a good trade is. You have many viewers who listen to your trading advice around the world and even if we are looking at different stock markets we can still see how a pro trader finds a gem in a sea of shit!
The mentoring dynamic is a great way for all involved to further develop and realize potential. Constant communication should not be the focus, rather structured guidance. Sharing your insight and gathering feedback from your mentees about specific topics, and building a plan around how to communicate your overall message over a specific time period, is key. You are the lion, teaching your lioness's how to hunt, after you give them some of the basic tools you need to let them hunt and then re-group together on what does and does not work. Start simple, use Skype, it's free, and then as your program develops and you can invest into other technology. Mentor in small groups or waves, maybe initially starting with 5 or 10, then a couple months later maybe start another wave with small group and apply all that you learned from your first group mentor experience. You definitely have a lot to offer and I think you would be a great mentor .

An easy up-keep and highly effective method of teaching or leading a following online is through the live steam and presentations model. This is exemplified in Martin Shkreli's "This Week In Finance" web series. Live streamers can see Martin's screen and view power points with information on Google Docs. Furthermore, the videos are online for future lions to learn from.
Second example: Martin Shkreli's "Introduction to Investing and Finance" series.

I would like to get involved in some sort of mentor program with you greg to become your protégé. however I can not come to your house and am very limited on time as I work 7am-7pm est but if you could do youtube or Skype or something else would be great. how do I get involved? also when the market crash comes I have a ira and to get out and cash out I would lose like 50% but when the crash comes would it be better to take the 50% loss or leave it in my ira and risk the loss there how much would I lose when the markets crash more then 50%? if so then pulling out would be less of a loss.
Greg, whatever you decide to do, I have a couple of things to say.
First, thank you so much for your videos. Wether it's on YouTube or SteemIt - I catch them on my breaks at work, whenever I can.
I don't know anything about trading the stock market. Wish I did.
I do stack silver bullion. I hear some of your detractors who are kicking you for recommending silver. It seems there's both an upside & a downside to buying silver: in one sense, it takes your money "out of the game" in the short term, but it gives you longer-term financial security. One day, silver is going to have it's "moonshot." But, that day is not today. Cryptos seem WAY better for the short-term action. My approach is to do both: stack silver & get some cryptos.
The other part of the game - trading in the stock market - seems more difficult than learning cryptos, to me. But, I would like to learn more. I know your website, TradersChoice.net . I have not had the time to go through it all. It seems like a pretty intimidating, even a daunting thing to take on the learning curve with trading in stocks. Am I too timid? Or, am I beginning to understand the time-commitment that learning trading is going to require?

I think it would be best to start with Skype. Then over time or even on an annual basis, do a real life face to face.
But overall, you can teach a few and then they could teach a few. It would bring us all closer to ripping the face off the market!
