Being a digital entrepreneur is all about living the lifestyle you want and making money from anywhere in the world with just a laptop and an internet connection.
At least that's my definition.
However, if you are constantly chasing money all the time and being desperate to try to close sales, chances are, you will not succeed in your entrepreneurship journey.
The reason is this - you will look and sound and appear to be desperate / pushy.
And think about it, if you encounter people with the above traits, will you be attracted to them or will you try your very best to avoid them?
People can sense that you are selling to them because you want to make money for yourself and not care about their welfare.
So what can you do?
As Beyonce would love to say it...
LISTEN
Listen to your prospects. Find out what they want. Find out their fears, their dreams, and their problems.
Instead of trying to hard sell your product, be sincere in helping them.
If your product cannot help them at this point of time, offer solutions to their problems now.
Be People Orientated
At the end of the day, you will leave a good impression on them.
Subsequently, when they have any problems, they will always think of you and come back to you and because there's a trust factor, it will be easier to close sales.
Focus on Creating Value
You need to keep creating value for your community.
Try to be helpful in anyway you can.
And don't be stingy with your knowledge.
Believe in abundance and there is enough for everyone in this world.
Don't worry about sharing too much because at the end of the day, only a minority of those who consume your content will take action.
However, for those who take action, they will always remember you.
And they will come back to you for more juicy knowledge and actionable plans.
In the long run, you will have your huge audience as well as your raving fans.
Don't Chase Money
Focus on people.
Focus on value.
The money will come with them.
And freedom will be within grasp.
