22nd August: -$936 feels like a win after being down $8,000.

After a bout of food poisoning that kept me off the tables yesterday I finally felt I had the energy to hit the tables. The day started pretty poorly, and after 400 hands i was at -$8,000. As such, being down under a grand feels like a win!

My biggest losing hand for the day cost me $2,627. My opponent reraised preflop, I called and on the flop both of us checked. On the three turn he bet $198, I raised to $778 and he moved all in.

Obviously I was very happy with the situation, seeing that he had only a 15% chance of winning the hand. But...

My biggest winning hand for the day saw me profit $2,954. After calling a reriase before the flop, I flopped three of a kind and called my opponents bet. On the turn i checked again, he bet and I moved all in

Unfortunately this time I was in bad shape, needing a ten, queen or 9 to win the almost $6,000 pot.

Again, the worst hand spiked the river, the 9 of diamonds giving me the nuts.
