It will create an audience and traction on your profile. Thats worth alot in my opinion. My title is '"how to get more upvotes" not how to earn easy money. ;)

98 percent of people you get to follow you from those groups won't be active on Steemit in 2 months. And almost none of them are going to follow you and upvote future posts. I'm not saying its worthless. Just that it is okay for total number of votes on one post. You are better off paying morwhale
Your audience will still increase with 2% for a starting steemian you have to start somewhere right. If you have 0,10$ and 2 upvotes on your post or 0,11$ and 12 upvotes on your boost is a huge mental difference. If i am speaking for myself.
