Where has the time gone?
As soon as your head hit the pillow
alarm sounds BEEP BEEP BEEP
HOLY COW it's another day....
Crust in eyes, drool dripping down ever so slowly
Four eyes creeping into the bed
Like a cat scouting for comfort in the warmth of mother
Moments like this, priceless
But so is our sleep
Where has the time gone?.
I love being a mom, the opportunity to birth into this plane beings who are here to learn and live their karmic lessons. But being a mom is much more! It's forgetting to shower and four days later you realize there's a funk ( lol exaggerating of course, but moms get it) or calling your children other names that are foriegn to even you, but that's the first name that popped into your head. Or better yet offering a bottle to your 4 year old and a plate of food to your newborn. Who said this journey wouldn't be a comedy at best!
Through it all we realize how ever that life before children doesn't matter anymore. As mom we see growth not only within our children but also within ourselves. Yes, I still enjoy breakfast for dinner but who doesn't!?
It's true when they say, when life gives you lemons you make lemonade, and best believe it's the best darn lemonade too!
