You have to know that not all successes and are really success when digging deep into it. And not all failures are failure when looking closely. What it does mean is that some successes are more disastrous than failure and some disappointments are more rewarding than success on the long run.
Hope that this could provide balm for the wounded, hope for the disillusionment, faith for the skeptical and light to those that sit in 
the region of the shadows of death.
In essence every disappointment could be a blessing. Never lose hope and never stop believing.
