The importance of competing, having a strong mindset and the resilience

in #motivation6 years ago (edited)

Win and compete matters. It really matters.

You have fifty people applying to a job, the fifty people aren't going to be hired.

Why Muhammad Ali, Pelé, Lionel Messi, Michael Jordan, Usain Bolt, Rafa Nadal, Venus and Serena Willians, Ronda Rousey, Lydia Valentín and other great athletes were who they were or are who they are?
It's not just because of its excellent physique.

We won't learn to fight like Ali, we aren't going to play soccer like Messi nor lift weight, win Olympic medals and make weightlifting more visible like Lydia Valentín.
But what we can do is think like them. Take action. You can be that new amazing competitor who brings fresh and new things. All begins and ends here. It's time to recharge and reboot.

Now we have access to healthy food, thousands of different diets, more and more gyms, personal trainers, tutorials, apps, but the obesity rate continues to grow.
We have the knowledge that if we eat badly it will have harmful consequences for our body and mind, but we still eat badly and then we make excuses. "I have a slow metabolism", "everything makes me fat", "I can't exercise, my foot hurts", "Today I don't train, it's cold outside".
No, the reality is that you eat too much or you eat badly, and don't get serious about sports.
Yes, there will be people who have these conditions, that can't do much exercise, however, we usually make things more difficult than they are.
move more, eat better (or maybe less quantity) is what makes you lose weight. Training helps a lot too.
There are lots of people who makes excuses all the time, "i'm poor", "I don't have this, I don't have that". Nontheless, there are other people that takes all that problems with strenght and motivation, so they are able to say...

     No more excuses.
Everybody can have a watch, everybody can drive a car, everybody can live in a house. But very few people can sacrifice everyday for getting something bigger, unique and priceless.
If you really want to set goals and you have what it takes, you sacrifice yourself to get it.

Do not care what others say, don't care hurting someone feelings.

Emotions makes you weak.

Many people attack the emotions and feelings of others. This people can and will control you. Be careful and be disciplined with your emotions.

Think bigger, think better.

By how and what you think, you create your way, your destiny.

It all begins with a thought. But for most people it's where everything ends.

This isn't a fantasy world. Be realistic and responsible for your thoughts.

Everyone wants a pat on the back for doing what they are suposed to do.

Nobody wants the routine or the hard work. If you have to get good results, no one can get them without the routine and hard work. It doesn't have to be a phisical routine but a mental routine.

You have the talent, you have the intelligence, you know how to compete, you don't have the resilience.

When adversity comes to defeat you, you crumble, you feel finished. You have to resist and face the problems positively, over and over again.

Someday that resilience has to become something.

Stop making excuses, work your mindset, don't hurt yourself with lies and stop procrastinating to be as competitive as you want to be and achieve your goals!

Be strong and cheer up! @arkmy

This is gold! So much truth is written here. Excuses have became to easy to rely on and then people get upset when they don't get the end result they're wanting. Determination and surrounding ourselves with like minded people can help a lot but staying around the same people who may not fully support you, is also hurting people. The let the negative thoughts/talk get in their head and instead of using that negativity to fuel your fire to prove them wrong.. they're allowing it to smother the whole flame. It's hard being strong but sometimes that's all we got.
Enjoyed this! Thanks for the extra pep talk! Much needed! Hope you have a great day!
