Dis-ci-pline: A method of training your mind or learning to control your behaviour. The ability to control your own behaviour and way of thinking. To control the way you work. How regular you do something because you know it is good for you. The ability to work in a controlled way. These are the definitions i found in the dictionary as i researched into the meaning of the word discipline. Discipline is a major pillar in the life of the academic genius and anyone willing I to attain higher excellence must learn to embrace it. Sound discipline creates champions and conquerors. this success pillar has been tried and tested over the years and found to work a great deal. In the bible, one of the character who clearly exemplifies discipline is Daniel. When presented with the choicest food. and when even though he was hungry, he purposed in his heart not to take take those and defile himself with them.
He chose to stick to the values he had carved for himself and eventually be attracted the great favour of God. This sticking to it what we call discipline. Many time the average plans his or her time, sets target and goals but fails to stick to them. I may sound unrealistic but it is real. i have seen brilliant student possessing this enviable quality of sticking to it that we call discipline.
