The ladder of life has a great number of people at the bottom but the number continue to decrease geometrical as the ladder goes up, thereby having only a few at the tip top. But as wide as the difference between these two categories is, it is surprising to know that what seperate or differentiate them is not a big thing neither is it a big deal.
Most time, it has being said that successful people go extramile but no one has ever said the unsuccessful remain immobile and this make me to resolve that the categories of the unsuccessful most times even go miles in their journey but what is missing is the small thing that makes the difference and it is call extra
The above picture quote, brings me to conclusion sometimes ago that success is simply a matter of making that one more move.
To further on this topic, i site the following examples.
Let me start with a more familiar story. I believe many people are aware with the story of the 5 wise virgins and 5 foolish virgins in the bible.

If we take a critical look at this story, one we see that the two categories of virgin have much features in common than they have in difference. Part of features they have in common includes (but not limited to)
- They are all virgins
- They all makeup their minds to meet with the bridegroom
- They all carry oil in their lamp
- They all waited for the groom
But the sole feature that i could see as what differentiate the two categories is that the wise ones have extra oil while the foolish ones did not
One can see how the extra help the wise virgins and how the lack of extra disqualify the foolish ones.
Another example is in the area of academics, especially those exam that deal with cutoff and the grading system too. 0.01 might not seems significant until you see it helping someone to attain a class of grade and you see it denying the other. In such a case, the only extra making the difference is 0.01. 1 mark as small as it is as help some student achieve targeted and it has deny others too.
Still on academics, just a 30 minutes revision by Mr A after he and Mr B have read together for 7 hours, have earn Mr A a score of 80 while Mr B got 68.
Another i will love to make is that of time. There use to be a saying which go thus
- To value a year, ask a student who fail a grade
- To value a month, ask a salary earner
- To value a week, ask editor of a weekly magazine
- To value a day, ask a bride to be
- To value an hour, ask a waiting lover
- To value a minute, ask someone who miss a flight
The difference extra time has made can't belittle (football lover know better). Just by hearing an info earlier, many have it so big in life while just a little seconds delay in taking caution have wreck havoc for many life.
To end this, I will like to state clearly that most time, we don't know which extra will make the difference just as we don't know tomorrow and that is why we need to keep doing what this aged poem says

- I will never rest
- Until my good is better
- Until my better best
- I will never rest
Do not be depress, go that extra that might be the hit to the long awaited difference.
