Respecting People and Yourself

We often hear this quote - "In order to be respected, we first have to respect others"

Many people expect other people to give respect to them first in everyday basis. But most people forget to remember that 'WE' ourselves need to give respect to people in the first place before others. And in that process, we need to be humble and never expect others to give back the same respect that you want or demand.

Being ego is one of the challenges in order to achieve it. We always see ourselves as a superior person or better than other people and we deserve to get respected. Along the way as well, we rage with anger when other people don't respect us. Yes, we all do deserve to be respected for every reason that we have done.

This comes to another subject - How we respect ourselves? How we control ourselves? Our ego. Our pride - that in the end, we ourselves is the one that disrespects our own selves.

We are not perfect as human beings. Instead of expecting other people to start or do something, maybe we ourselves can be the first one to act.
