At the end of a busy day, do you feel so stressed and overwhelmed that you'll struggle to find time to spend with the people you care about and do the things you enjoy? I have been there before, I used to complain of being stressed out a lot, this was probably because i couldn't manage stress but overtime i have come to observe that stress management can be learnt either the easy way or hard way; but in the meantime,here are some stress management practical skills to help you out:

1)Write things down: Why use your head to keep track of too many details? you are just overloading your head with too much information. Write things down, have a to-do-list, it keeps you organized and it is a great way to take control of your activities and tasks for the day.
2)Prioritize your to-do-list: This enables you to do the most important and first things first. It helps you to give more time and energy to the things that really matter to you!
3)Plan your week: Take a few mins at the begining of each week to plan your schedule for the week,this will help to increase your productivity and balance your important long term tasks with urgent tasks!
4)Carry a diary: Carry a small diary with you wherever you go so that you can always pen down your thoughts as they come. Your thoughts might be a great or brilliant ideas and if you wait too long to write them down,you might forget it!
5)learn to say No: I repeat "learn to say No", saying 'No' was really a difficult tasks for me. I always wanted to please everyone,until it dawned on me that I cant actually please everyone. You will become overloaded with too much work when you overcommit and learning to say no to low priority requests will give you time to spend on things that you value more!

6)Think before you act: Before committing to a new tasks, think about it ,this will prevent you from taking on too much tasks and you will have nothing to regret later!
7)Identify your bad habits: Identify your bad habits that are taking your time and pushing you away from your goal. After you do, work on them one at a time and systematically remove them from your life. The easiest way to get rid of a bad habit is to replace them with a good one!
8)Dont do other people's tasks: Do you have the habit of doing other people's tasks because of a hero's mentality? You have to cut down on it! Doing other people's task takes so much time that you would have spent on your goals and project and also gets you stressed out. Learn to delegate effectively and teach others how to do their Job.
9)Evaluate your progess: Schedule a time to evaluate the progress of your goals. Write the progress of each goal and make sure you are on the right track!
10)Dont be a perfectionists: Dont put in so much effort on some tasks! Learn to distinguish between tasks that needs to be done excellently and tasks that just need to be done. Sending a short message to your friend should only take you few minutes!
11)Employ effective time management strategy: Proper time management enables you to keep track of everything that you need to do,organize and prioritize your work and develop a sound plan to complete it!
12)Exercise: work out regularly, it relaxes your muscles and allows you to deal with stress!
13)Relax, rest and sleep, it keeps you healthy and refreshing for the next day!
