We all know that hope is a very powerful force. It has a way of lifting the heart, renewing courage, and helping one to endure even difficult situations. As a matter of fact, it is hope that makes efforts not to be pointless. But what you have to understand is that hope alone is not enough to bring about the kind of result that you expect. You must have to pair your hope with actions in other for results to be produced. When you add hope to action, you will create unimaginable momentum. See it like this; hope gives you the reasons to move forward. However, it is action that gives hope the pathway to move forward.

I once read a very funny story about a young school leaver who was constantly professing a good job. In fact, he was so engrossed in the hope of having a good job that he would speak like the job that he hoped to have. He studied civil engineering and hoped to work in one of the leading construction companies in the country. With his result which was among the best in his set, he felt that the kind of job he wants will find him. Weeks turned into months, and almost 1 year, he was without job. Then he was advised that he should back-up his hope with actions; he then started applying both online and offline. In just about 1 month of intensive application, he got the job. If he had not backed up his hopes with actions, he would have been waiting in vain.
One of the reasons why a lot of people have not actualised their idea is not because they do not have hope in its potency, but because they have not powered their hope with actions. There is no way a farmer can profess bountiful harvest without planting his seeds in the first place. The seeds will not grow from the bottle inside the cupboard, you will have to plant the seed so that your hope of bountiful harvest will be substantiated. It does not matter how big your hope is, it will not replace the need for action. You cannot wish your way into the results that you seek, but you can work your way through. It is when you have added actions to what you believe that you will get the result you seek.
It is true that hope shapes your perspectives. It also opens the mind to see infinite possibilities in life. It also makes one to see challenges as temporary obstacles rather than permanent dead-end. But hope without action will eventually lead to wishful thinking and daydreaming. It is possible for one to be inspired, feel encouraged, and be be optimistic, but if there is no effort applied, the person will remain at the same spot. If you want something to change, then you have take actions. Nothing ever changes by just wishing for it, but by adding efforts to it. Your work and your actions are what will turn your hope into tangible evidence.

It is worthy to note that it is not just acting on your hope that brings the result that you need. There are things that you need to understand for the actions to produce results. Firstly, the action has to be be right. You cannot do what is obviously wrong and hope to have the right result. In addition to doing the right action, you also have to do the actions rightly. You can still be doing the right thing but if it is not done rightly, you may not achieve the result. For example, a farmer planting seeds in his farm is the right thing, but what if he plants it in a wrong season, it may not produce, even though he did the right thing, but it was not done rightly.
In addition to doing the right thing towards what you hope for, and doing them rightly, there is still one thing you should have handy; do them on time. Time can be a single determining factor for the result of your actions. A delay in action, even if it is a right action, can potentially render it less valid. When you have something to do, you have to do it the appropriate time, so as to get the appropriate result.
