I recently heard a story about a man, who helped his wife to clean up his fridge because all they had in the fridge went bad since they weren't around.
After cleaning the fridge, he discovered he could still perceive the bad meat smell. He thought maybe he needed to clean up the fridge the second time, he did it again, washed his hands thoroughly and the bad smell was still strong.
Not knowing what next to do to stop the smell, he decided to just ignore the smell and go upstairs to fix up his scattered room and wardrobe, when he got upstairs, the smell was still very strong upstairs too. He said to himself, "how come it's smelling up here too, how did the meat smell travel this far"?
5 minutes later, he was done arranging the room and for no reason he decided to look at the mirror and he noticed one of the bad meat particles was on his nose. Oh oh, so the smell wasn't from the room, u was the one carrying the smell around with me! he said.
This is exactly what happens to some in life. They think the people around them are their problem, they think people don't like them, what they don't know is that people are avoiding them because their attitude stinks.
No matter how intelligent, beautiful, talented or wealthy you are, if you have a bad attitude, it will short circuit your progress.
I saw a quote recently, it read :
The beauty of a woman gets the attention, but her personality (attitude) captures the heart.
Attitude is very important and it can determine how far you go in life. You can't be successful when you have good grades with very bad attitude your success won't last long because of your bad attitude.
how to build a good reputation
- Consciously seek for ways to maintain a good attitude
- Stay away from materials with negative contents
- Stay close to your inspiration, starve your distractions
- Avoid bad friends
Getting rid of bad attitude ain't easy, but with conscious effort, it can be done.
