10 reasons to get you out of bed

Hello Steemers, below I list from my experiences 10 motivating reasons/perspectives to get us out of bed and live the wonder that is life.

1. Cut yourself some slack

Start the day by doing something you like or just go outside for a walk and feel the morning energy. You don't have to start the day with a chore, especially when it's become a drag. Have a little time for yourself and you will get to your duties later.

2. Do that thing you always wanted to do

We all have a thing or two that we put out because we feel that they are not important enough or fell like it is selfish to do something just for you. You should totally do it. If you do it you will feel better and everyone wants to have somebody in their life that is in a happy mood. It's not selfish after all.

3. Because you can

You are alive and you get another day in this amazing and eventful life, enjoy it, if you don't you will regret it later. Live in the moment, take a deep breath and believe that you can do anything.

4. Because music exists

Think about how music can change your mood. We are hardwired to resonate to music, unconsciously even. Listen to the music that makes you feel better, it's better that any happy pill.

5. Admire nature

Take the time to admire the wonders of nature, to feel the life in everything, acknowledge the plants and animals in your neighborhood. They are perfect as they are and it's inspiring to life among them.

6. Because clouds exists

The clouds are a ever-changing masterpiece in the sky. Look at the sky more and observe how it makes you feel. Get inspired by the beauty of the lakes in the sky.

7. Smile to someone

Smiling is uplifting and sometimes contagious. Think about how you felt when someone smiled at you. Smile to someone that you think needs it. Most of us have forget how to smile, teach them.

8. Call that family member or old friend

Most of your old acquaintances would love to hear from you, and that in turn will brighten your day. We get energy from connections and when we connect with an old friend that energy is amplified.

9. Clean up your house

This normally seems like a chore, but that is because of our attitude towards it. Do it with a positive intention, do it to help you and others. You already know that you will feel better in a clean house as opposed to a messy house.

10. Give something to someone who needs it

We almost always have some stuff that we do not need. Your garbage can be someone else's treasure. Give and you will feel better about yourself and you can cultivate a feeling of contributing to someone else's happiness. One thing to keep in mind is to not brag about it, do it for you and for the other person not for status as that will make you feel paradoxically cheap and you will seem like that to others. Just give.

Excellent post, my friend! As someone who has struggled with anxiety and depression in the past I can really take these pointers to heart. I'm also hoping to use Steemit as a creative outlet, and channel through which to get out into the world more and have a reason to report on it outside of myself, if that makes sense? I'm an arch-procrastinator, so having posts like this to read is very inspirational indeed! I'll be following you :)
