Greetings from the Netherlands! Welcome to Steemit! Great post and I will follow you along here and read all you have to share!

Thank you @poeticsnake! I've traveled to Amsterdam. Loved it! Even bought some wooden shoes.

Did you try walking on them? They say its very healthy for your feet but I will never wear them again :D

LOL! I bought some small ones for decoration.

Awesome story! Just sold our house to go travelling too :) And yes it feel like a big step, but hey... you only live once! :) Nothing ventured nothing gained. Upvoted and following!

Welcome to Steemit @jilliankelsey hope you have a happy new year! Welcome to the future of blogging.

Thank you @thejohalfiles! Happy New Year to you as well.

I hope you have a great time in Norge. I think Norwegian is about the easiest way to learn a language in Scandinavia. It has a sing song quality that Danish or Swedish does not have.
Learn some Norsk songs and learn to tell a decent Joke and you will have some enjoyable times.

Welcome. You will fit in nicely here :) great introduction post.

Thank you @bitcoinparadise!

You're welcome. If you want to further engage with the community, I suggest joining https://steemit.chat, @steemspeak on Discord, or even the @steemtrail Discord channel You can share your links to your posts for others to see. We have some fellow Norwegians in Steemspeak as well :P

Welcome, @jilliankelsey. I have been to Norway once. Way to cold for me! Welcome to Steemit!

Thank you @exyle. Yes it is freezing here and I was told that winter hasn't even started. I have a snow suit that I wear around town. I might look silly but who cares. LOL!

Hello Jillian, and welcome,

Your moving experience is reminiscient of an opportunity to move out of my hometown in Pennsylvania to Chandler, Arizona when I was 22. I hope all works out for you and Mike in Oslo. I'll add you to my follow list.

Thank you @timothyb! Hope your move was the right choice for you as well.

Your welcome. Glad to hear that your are happily riding the wave ^_^

Welcome to Steemit! That was quite a leap you made, moving to Oslo.

Did you remember to bring a snow shovel? :)

Thank you @nxtblg! I'm getting a little worried now that winter is upon us. I hope I still venture out into the city when we start getting some heavy snow. We are going to Svalbard on Jan. 20th. We will get a chance to ride on a dog sled and snow scooter. Looking forward to some winter fun.

The snow scooter will be fun.

Hello from Oregon USA Jillian... Welcome to Steemit!

I am also new on steemit. You know.. as i were member of facebook i never shared stories, gave someone likes or posted anything. I love that feeling that my "like", excuse me, "upvote" supports you with a little amount of cryptocurrency, so you can live your dreams, love your family and continue what you're doing. It feels like I could really honor that you touched me with your story and your thoughts. My like isn't useless anymore. It's a like to say 'thank you' for your interesting story that connects people all over the world imaging how you feel emigrating to another country. TY! :)

Thank you @swallace! I'm glad you enjoyed my story. I hope other people when given the opportunity to experience new things don't let their fear hold them back.

Welcome to Steemit and welcome to Oslo. Always good to read of others experiences of moving countries. I am on my 4th one now. First move was to move to England from South Africa. I worked all over Europe and did try to get some project work at Oslo Stock Exchange at one stage - was not successful.

Good luck. Winter is a state of mind. Every sunny day is a bonus day gets you through it.

Wow @carrinm! I'm impressed with our adventurous spirit and your ability to adapt to new places. My biggest goal when I first moved here was making friends. I knew that I wouldn't be happy without friends. Luckily I've met some pretty amazing women here from all over Europe. I feel blessed that they want to be my friend as well.

Making friends is key. I am rubbish at it. My family came from England and I made an effort to reconnect with family members on the other side of the country when I moved there. That was hard work. I eventually decided it was a whole lot easier to get to know the people in my street, or in my golf club or in my office.

Then the traveling across Europe began and I now have friends dotted all over the place, pretty well in every city I worked.

Welcome to Steemit! Greetings from Transilvania! :D
You have done an impressive step and I don't know how many people would do that! Very nice couple! Cheers!

Thank you @the-future! It was a scary move and I know a lot of people as well that would have never of done it, but I'm a happier person for it. No regrets!

Hey There from Canada. There's the saying that I have decided myself it is time to implement in my life - "In order to change the life that you have now, you have to be willing to change the things that you do". You will do fine I'm sure :)

Welcome to Steemit Jillian! :)
