What we all enjoy about music, songs that are in our hearts, each one has its history like each one of us.
A song is born out of someone experiences who then writes them down.
Whether it's something that happened to the writer or another person, an event, something that caught the attention of the writer and based on that writes the lyrics, the lyrics should have a poetic sense, must contain phrases to be good lyrics, that is what is used to distinguish a good song from a regular or bad.
Write the lyrics of your favorite song in a note and you’ll perceive if it is good, fair or bad.
If it also makes sense, the story has a good lyric, that is, there are structural parameters and parameters to measure if a lyric is good, regular or bad.
I will give you an example with a real success "Despacito" Erika Ender, Luis Fonsi.
We will take the chorus for the example and notice how all the last syllables end with the letter O:
Despacito
Quiero respirar tu cuello despacito
Deja que te diga cosas al oído
Para que te acuerdes si no estás conmigo
Despacito
Quiero desnudarte a besos despacito
Firmo en las paredes de tu laberinto
Y hacer de tu cuerpo todo un manuscrito
This is a rhyming style and there are several styles, another style is that the last syllable of the first line rime with the third and the second with the fourth, depending on the poetic style you take to translate your lyrics, which should be done before you start to write.
Let's see another example in the theme "La Bicicleta" by Carlos Vives:
Nada voy a hacer
Rebuscando en las heridas del pasado
No voy a perder
Yo no quiero ser un tipo de otro lado
Can I be a good composer?
Of course!
You should only seek advice and seek help from those who know, but if you have it at hand do it online there are many places to learn.
I hope you liked my post and could helped in something, if it has, give me your vote!
