THE SUGARCUBES "BIRTHDAY" (ENGLISH VERSION)
I love this old song "Birthday from 1988 by The Sugarcubes, its from there album "Lifes To Good". Its a really cool song and video. The Icelandic singer Bjork went on to form the band Bjork in the 90's. This is the English versions of the song, it was done in two languages.

And this is the Sugarcubes Icelandic version of the song. I really like this version to sung in her native language. The video is just of her singing with some minor camera effects that has a whole different feel from the American version that they were able to shoot a actual video for in Iceland.

And last but not least a cover by The Drums of "Birthday" done live for Sirius XM Radio. This is the best cover i could find and its by one of my favorite bands The Drums. The native language version is super. What a sound, I love it. It's hard to believe the song is old.
I love the Icelandic version to it has a whole different feel. Its from the 80's but it still holds up today its timeless.
The song is a very difficult song. The children could not tell :) The studio environment is nice but the original singer is on a very different level. Such a sound is not always born.

This is the first time I've heard the name Bjork. I immediately searched on google. She's very old :) But she has a beautiful voice. I was fascinated.
She has a unique voice its one of a kind. And she was in her twenties i think when the video was made in 84 so she is getting up there in age.
