This never came together into a coherent sound or theme, but I am putting everything up, whether it works or not.

The thought behind this was to make something to tweet at mega-church followers. In doing that, I tried to force something that was not working. If I was putting together a polished package, than this would not be included, especially with the changing events of the following year. However, everything is going up in the order that they were made whether it worked or not.
This was not meant to be a comment on the current state in 2016 or forward. This was put together in the spring of 2015. At that time the instability and extremist rhetoric had not fully congealed into what we now call isis/daesh, and the large scale migration across the Mediterranean had only just begun. I stand by the generality that destabilizing an area leads to increased violence, and that for the last half a century america has done so, with little consideration of long term cause and effect, Instigated by people in safe cushy environments eager to sound tough, pushing those who have no say into positions of violence. I am generally against military action. But it is getting harder to see a way forward without it.
Yes, its true that every religion has more than enough violence to fuel an extremist. And yes, every religion has more than enough “be good to your neighbors” to appease the peaceful. Yes, of course Christianity has been responsible for many acts of violence. And yes, the average muslim just wants to go to work and put their feet up at the end of the day. However, it is islam, right now, where most of the worst extremism is coming from. Unfortunately fiery rhetoric spreads fast and easy, while facts and logic take time and effort. Step one to solving any problem, is the ability to have an honest open discussion. This was not an attempt to add to that discussion, only a brief comment on the previous events, that help to add to the environment that fanned these flames.
Anybody who is in a position to have that discussion should be able to with out people screaming racist or porch monkey. Have you heard the phrase “Nero fiddled while Rome burned”? Just because a group is a minority and or oppressed in one place doesn’t make that true everywhere. It is intellectually dishonest to joyfully criticize one ideology from a position of safety, while joyfully screaming racist at anybody who levels the identical criticism to another.
