Rest value.

In the Lesson N ° 6 we saw the value of the notes in the bars at a certain time.
Since the music is not composed only of uninterrupted sounds but here and there are scattered pauses to give movement to the song,
they too are subject to values to respect the time in notation of the measure.
Let's see it together.
First of all, what is a rest in music? The rest is an indication of NOT playing and serves to create a silence, an absence of sound between different notes and / or chords.
They are very important in rhythmic, always remember that what you do NOT play is as important as what you play.
As for the notes, each rest value has its equivalent symbol, so every time you find a rest on the score, it will tell you exactly how and for how long to stop the sound.
For example, always taking a simple 4/4 time as a reference, a rest from the value of half will mean that you do not need to produce any sound for half a beat. A rest of a whole will mean that you will not play throughout the bar.
As for notes, the real value of the rest is established by time in the initial notation on the staff.
Below I have created a graphical representation of the symbols and related rest values.
Now, if we go to see the division of the pauses in the beats and compare the table with that of the notes of the previous lesson (N°6),
we discover that it is exactly identical, only the symbols of representation change.

Nella Lezione N°6 abbiamo visto il valore delle note nelle battute in un determinato tempo.
Siccome la musica non è composta solo da suoni ininterrotti ma qua e là sono sparse delle pause per dare movimento al brano,
anche loro sono soggette a valori per rispettare il tempo in notazione della battuta.
Vediamolo insieme.
Innanzitutto che cos'è una pausa in musica? La pausa è un'indicazione di NON suonare e serve a creare un silenzio, un'assenza di suono tra diverse note e/o accordi.
Esse sono molto importanti nella ritmica, ricordate sempre che ciò che NON si suona è importante quanto ciò che si suona.
Come per le note, ogni valore di pausa ha il suo simbolo equivalente, quindi ogni volta che incontrerete una pausa sullo spartito, essa vi dirà esattamente come e per quanto tempo fermare il suono.
Ad esempio, prendendo sempre come riferimento un tempo semplice di 4/4, una pausa dal valore di metà significherà che per metà battuta non dovete produrre nessun suono. Una pausa di un intero significherà che non suonerete per tutta la battuta.
Come per le note, il valore reale della pausa è stabilito dal tempo nella notazione iniziale sul pentagramma.
Qui sotto ho realizzato una rappresentazione grafica dei simboli e relativi valori delle pause.
Ora, se andiamo a vedere la divisione delle pause nelle battute e confrontiamo la tabella con quella delle note della lezione precedente (N°6) scopriamo che è esattamente identica, cambiano solo i simboli di rappresentazione.
