CHVRCHΞS are back! The new album is out soon but do their two new tracks feature in my top five favourite Chvrches songs? Let's find out!
It's true they have so many great tunes that any random 5 would be a great list. But this is mine for now.

5] "Night Sky"
I'm the night sky. I'm the fire in your eyes. And I want you now and for all time.
Night Sky is an emotive little number with a Wichita Lineman-like sentiment in there. The back and forth vocals between Lauren and Doc in the second verse is kinda cool too.
4] "Never Ending Circles"
What a way to start the second album! And their live sets around that time too. It's an upbeat banger about recurring relationship troubles it seems.
3] "Down Side Of Me"
A masterpiece in beautiful bittersweetness. An angelic vocal, a chorus to die for and an immense build up to that final chorus. The album version (above) edges the single version, but they're both great.
2] "Recover"
"The last one was a bit tuney."
Recover is pure Chvrches icy pop genius. Incredible vocal melodies and the way the chorus kicks into another gear - amazeballs! All on a song about, well, recovering, which we can all relate to. Bravo.
1] "Make Them Gold"
We are made of our smallest thoughts. We are breathing and letting go. We will take the best parts of ourselves and make them gold.
Gold happens to be my favourite colour. And this song gets the gold medal from me. Upbeat, danceable and empowering, with the idea of encouraging you to better yourself and help others.
The new CHVRCHΞS album "Love Is Dead" is out on 25th May 2018.
