Based on my experience using tinder, most are only looking for DTF (down to fuck). They are not really looking for friends to have a coffee with or a chit chat. Some are using tinder to find companion while visiting the town during their travel. However, of course it often leads to bedroom talk.
Most I know are also using tinder to promote their instagram to gain more followers. Not to mention, there's a thing called digital prostitution. Think about non conventional ways of prostitution without a third party.
If you're looking for a meaningful friendship and conversation, tinder just isn't the place. But if you're looking for one night stand, that's the option you can have and optimize for use.
