I would love to witness the day the ex late south african president was released from prison,he was a man i read so much about and i would wish to witness the day he was released and get to see the joy on his face and the face of many south africans who witnessed that glorious day...

I would want to witness the Egypt era when the pyramids were built.

With many theories going on, many films made on how the Pyramids came into being. I will want to witness it for my self. Egypt being called the cradle of civilization means there will be many things for me to see if I could witness the old Egypt.

Sanmi's answer looks sufficient enough. How do I upvote that?

I'm almost indoors all through the day except something very serious pulls me out of my room. How do I build vibes to always get me out of my room.?

I'm not an anti-social person but I lack this vibe to want to go out of my room. I enjoy my company all by myself. Sometimes I get bored, most times I don't. Is something wrong with me? How do I get out of this?

As someone who is also somewhat "introverted" and spend most of his time indoors just playing some games and watching some tvshows/anime, what made me go outside was an outgoing person who was willing to drag me out of my comfort zone. :)

At first, I honestly don't like it as I was not used being under the sun and even walking places (going around the mall is tiring). But over time, I kind of long it. I think what you really need is a person willing to teach you the world outside your room. :)

Hmmm! this is interesting. So I need to open the door to people who are willing to pull me out of my comfort zone. This is indeed helpful. Thanks for your thoughts.

What you need is to invite friends in first. Let them fill you and your room with energy. Then when you start enjoying it, they leave. This will make you long for it, miss it and eventually crave it. Then you see them flexing outside and you want it too. So you take those baby steps out of your room and into the world.

Wow! Thanks for this suggestion. I hope it helps.

Do you like being outside at all? Or think you might be open to it? I've found, at times when it's hard to get myself out of the house, as soon as I do I actually enjoy it very much and end up spending much more time out of the house than I had intended to. Sometimes all it takes is the initial process of walking out the door.

For instance, although I greatly prefer to make coffee at home, I've often made it a habit to go to a local place that's deserving of support to fill my mug rather than just making it at home. Financially, it's pretty stupid. But it does make me leave the house as I usually want that coffee pretty first thing. Usually the thought of it is dreadful, but then when I actually embark on the mission I really enjoy it! I often will end up extending my coffee outing long after I had planned on returning.

I guess all I'm trying to say is you gotta find something to get you outta the house. I lived with a bunch of kids I didn't know and who were pretty anti-social this summer and a lot of my friends had moved out of town. I hated going "out" and socializing with random people but then a bar/arcade opened and I started to go there every day. It was like a compromise to me- I was around people and would occasionally find myself in conversation; but I could also just play video games and drink a few cheap beers.

I'm pretty sure musing would still thrive even if that happened. Yes musing and Quora serve the same purpose, but they are built on completely different platforms. Musing already has its own following and brand and I believe that when the next hardfork comes out, it's going to make it so much easier for people to join musing.

As far as I'm concerned Musing can only get better from this point.

Yeah musing.io will still really thrive because this platform is built on the steem blockchain and we steem

as rewards,,steem is a cryptocurrency that will also have a great feature and would enable users of this platform to be able to keep earning money,,but i also feel it would

be very wonderful if this platform can create their own token so that they can also benefit from the SMT that will

be lanched during first quarter of 2019,,but i am sure that if quora creates its own ICO it will not stop musing.io from being successful continously....

This is an interesting question and I think the actual outcome would be dependent on a few different scenarios.

1. Would Musing survive if Quora released it's own Crypto on Ethereum or another blockchain?

In the scenario where Quora released their own cryptocurrency on a blockchain that wasn't Steem I think then it's highly likely/guaranteed that Musing would survive, I believe currently that Musing's user base is quite different from the Quora user base. I believe both platforms would exist in the same way we see now, you would use Quora if you currently use Quora and you would use Musing if you currently use Musing. Some Musing users may go and try an earn Quora too, but I think overall a lot of users who currently use the Steem blockchain would prefer to stay using Musing.

2. Would Musing survive if Quora released an SMT?

Putting aside the massive rewrite Quora would need to do in order to work on the Steem blockchain and overall huge changes to their user experience. If Quora were to create their own SMT I believe that it would be harder to predict if Musing would survive, this is because Quora could easily become the go-to question and answer platform on the Steem blockchain overnight, their current user base is already huge and they would be able to onboard thousands of people to the Steem blockchain almost instantly. The big question would be how would Musing differentiate themselves from Quora, currently Musing doesn't show ads and everything is immutable. We would assume that Quora would do the same if they released an SMT.

I think the hard part going forward would be on-boarding new users, I believe the early adopters of Musing would stay, but I think it would be harder to onboard new users with such a big, well-established competitor. Of course, Musing may still tick along and have enough users to keep moving forward, but I believe the overall growth of the platform might be somewhat compromised in this scenario.

They would need to raise an additional round to fund the creation of all those accounts if they were to launch a SMT. LOL

As a venture capital backed company it is highly unlikely that Quora could possibly ever consider tokenization. Not unless, first, they would convince the board of directors to dilute their holdings or alternatively buy back all shares.

Many companies in a later stage of evolution, and thus finances, have not always sufficient shares available to raise more funds and need to create new shares. This can only be approved by the Board of Directors, many of which also are often larger shareholders.

The biggest question to be asked here is “How much shares, thus tokens, could Quora issue and at what price, in order to satisfy its existing investors?”.

That would be one of the largest ICOs yet because Quora is currently valued at $1.8bn. Obviously, that valuation is what existing investors would expect to see in the ICO - and preferably even more - in order to be satisfied with the operation. Yet, at that point they enter a volatile market, a market which so far hasn’t yet proven any genuine valuation mechanics beyond BTC dominance.

If you look round you will note that many investors do not invest in tokens, but in teams. They invest in a company, and that company may hold tokens (which may even be defined in the term sheet) but the more traditional - and larger investors - will not invest by buying tokens. Instead they will give the company money to grow and scale. So-called runway.

The cryptomarket is still too volatile and unregulated for investors to touch it, especially considerations that most venture capital funds are not the money of the investors themselves. More of than not they are managers of funds, funds provided by backers. Many funds on Sandhill Road are backed by for example the country of Norway as well as private rich people and also hedge fund managers, who back the VC funds with funds they manage.

Would Musing still thrive?

It’s slightly too early to say that because Musing is too young and while it already has momentum it’s definitely not yet at the level of “thriving”.

yeah quora and musing.io have some similar features

but musing.io is a project on the steem blockchain and users will be rewarded if their questions or answers are

well good enough according to the curators of the platorm,if quora should come out with their ICO well it

will really make quora to become more effective but that will definitely not stop musing.io from thriving....

Musing.io have its own unique features that will make it thrive and whatever happens to quora will not stop

musing.io from thriving, they both have their own lovely plans and if quora decides to create their own token it

will not disturb musing.io from becoming more successful because musing.io is also a wonderful

projects with wonderful team behind the success it is experiencing and will still continue to experience...

The thing about Musing.io is that it is one of the many platforms and applications built on top of the Steem blockchain. The more Steem grows the more Musing grows, and as we all know Steem has so many potentials to go big with all the dapps and platforms being built on top of it almost weekly.

If ever Quora releases it's own ICO, that token will only be used solely for Quora. Sure Quora has many users as of now compared to Musing, but when Steem starts to gain momentum and starts to gain mass adoption because of how apps are interconnected to each other through the power of blockchain, users can just easily go back and forth between apps and platforms including Musing.

So yeah, Musing will thrive even if Quora came out with its own ICO.

How/what do you tell to people to bring them on STEEM blockchain?

I tell them that if they value their time, they should come here. I think this makes them think about it more deeply.

What do you tell them, what is your approach?

There are many things that can bring people to Steem, but one of the most common things that people say is

"do you use Reddit or 4chan or some other social website? Do you like it? Who earns money from your use?"

The answer is usually "the company that owns it".

There, you can say that there is a place where if you participate, you get money, and it's just a social network with many facets, including clones to Youtube (DTube - DLive for videos), Twitch (DLive for streams), Instagram (Steepshot for pictures), etc., which allow you to share your things, comment, and earn money from every vote you get and many other things.

There is also the approach of "it's a strong market that will rise but it's in its low point so you should buy". People love pre-bull markets.

You can also invite people to do whatever they do (write, record things, take pictures) but post them on Steem for a few extra cents of income and in order to promote an open-source community that is trying to make the world more profitable for the people, without middlemen handling the money that is made out of every interaction.

I think there are generally 3 groups of people that we need to bring more to the Steem platform. And to each of them, we need to pitch different benefits of the platform.

First and most importantly, we have the content creators or authors. Good authors are the foundation of the platform and Steem will be nothing without them. The key selling point for authors is that Steem offers rewards for content. Though it may be hard to be noticed among the tens of thousands of accounts, every cent still counts. If we can sell this idea to aspiring bloggers, who find it hard to survive through the advertising/affiliate marketing methods, then we have a strong case to draw them to this platform. In addition, with @SteemPress, existing WordPress users can be easily ported over. So why not?

Next, we have the investors. They are necessary to provide support for STEEM price. We are still not at a state where Steemians are able to buy their daily necessities with STEEM, hence the value of STEEM in USD is important. In order to attract investors, we need to educate them on the strength of the STEEM platform from the technical perspective. @timcliff had a very good article on this and I shall not repeat. Link below,

https://busy.org/@timcliff/it-s-time-to-start-paying-attention-to-steem

Finally, I think there is a group of users that are still overlooked. I think they are the businesses. Steem platform is perfect for big or small businesses to boost their online presence. Think about this, by posting one article, the business is actually getting audiences from at least 3 sites (e.g. Steemit, Busy and Steempeak). These sites are most of the time having a higher rank on Google search than their own business website. In addition, Steem platform is also great to crowdsource for content. By offering some rewards in STEEM, businesses can get fresh content and marketing materials from Steemians all over the world!

In summary, if we can grow all 3 user base, I think Steem will easily be the top 20 crypto if not the top 10.

First of all I explain them a bot about blockchian if they haven't heard of and especially about Steem, the blockchian, then I explain them what a cryptocurrency is, how are they used and exchanged and so on.

Then I show them my blog with examples of my posts, interactions and how does the blog works. I make them also some analogies with other blogging platforms or social media platforms. I also explain them the benefits of using Steem in comparison with other platforms.

I usually explain more of my experience on Steemit rather than letting them to read the trending page and get the wrong idea about how things work with Steem. Of course, when tackling this topic I mention also about bit bots, upvotes and reputation score.

The main idea is that Steem is the best blogging/social media platform built on a blockchain that rewards users, through upvotes, with Steem tokens. Plus I always encourage them to focus on quality rather than quantity and engage as much as possible with other users.

When introducing steemit to new users, what I tell them is **they can earn for doing the same thing they do on Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and so on**. You see many people show interest. They immediately want to sign up.

I then go on to explain how steemit works for them. How they can be a passive investor and make their steempower work for them or make posts and earn from both author and curation rewards. For me, I think this is the simplest way to explain steemit to a new user and get the person to sign up immediately.

WWhat holds Steem back from top 20 crypto in CMC?

We are quite aware that Steem is being underestimated, with so many dapps and activities. Then what holds it back from being top cryptocurrencies?

Currently the 20th crypto is at about $600m market cap. For Steem to enter the top 20, it will need to at least increase its market cap by 3 folds and the other crypto need to remain the same or weaken.

As a Steemian, I can clearly see the potential of the STEEM platform. We have 50,000 active accounts and growing. There are tens or hundreds of dApps. It is really exciting.

In my opinion, the key reason why there isn't enough money flowing into the STEEM platform is because people haven't recognize the business use case of STEEM.

First of all, STEEM platform can be used as a blogging platform for any company. The cool thing about blogging on STEEM is that one article is posted across multiple sites (e.g. Steemit, Busy and Steempeak). This is actually quite good in improving the online presence of a business.

In addition, STEEM platform is also a perfect place to harness crowd wisdom for crowdsourcing and crowd prediction. These are all actual use cases that are of value to the real business world. We have no lack of good creators on STEEM, but more people need to know that.

In essence, I think we lack marketing and that was why @timcliff's Steem Blast Day got me quite excited. Though it didn't seem to have worked well enough, it was still good effort and every Steemian should play his/her part to spread the word to the rest of the world.

I believe that when the SMT is launched it would make the Dapps to become more popular and attractive and

that would attract more investors to the steem blockchain and it will increase the faith of the previous investors on the steem blockchain...

What makes a cryptocurrency to rank higher on cmc is the market capitalization and the more the

cryptocurrency have a high market capitalization then rhe more it will keep ranking high on coinmarketcap,,,so what is holding back steem from getting to the top 20

cryptocurrency on coinmarketcap is that steem market capitalization is lower compared to the market capitalization of each cryptocurrencies at the top 20....if

steem gets an increased massive investments and its market capitalization booms very high then it would make steem to reach top 20 or even top 10 too....

The rival between the United States and North Korea which mentions nuclear weapons in the media, apparently has an impact on the Bitcoin exchange rate.

Last weekend, the price of one Bitcoin was closed equivalent to 4,224 US dollars or around Rp56 million. In the beginning of this week, he even touched the figure of 4,400 US dollars or equivalent to Rp58 million. Investors in financial markets turned out to prefer challenging investments in crypto aka digital currencies like Bitcoin, rather than investing in safe havens such as gold or US government bonds.

Bitcoin, with market capitalization for 71.5 billion US dollars or equivalent to Rp954 trillion (as of August 15, 2017), is indeed the largest crypto in the world until now. He is known as the "father" of all crypto, because it is present as the first decentralized digital currency. But, not everyone knows that Bitcoin is not the only crypto available. At least, from those noted by CoinMarketcap, a crypto exchange site, there are 848 other crypto, including Bitcoin itself.

Bitcoin came first in 2009. Two years later, Litecoin was present as a competitor. In March 2015, hundreds of crypto later followed. They present with their respective strengths, especially in security breakthroughs.

That will be me trusting people less and keeping my circle smaller. I am someone with a large heart and feel for people when they have issues going on with them.

I find it difficult to sleep knowing I am doing fine and could have helped others. That's why I do help people around me. Most times I get bad talks in return. You see people you think are your friends talking bad of you. It's so saddening. Some even use the opportunity to fake lies so you can help. I learnt too late and now trust people less, always trusting my instincts.

I would love to trust less during the time I had a large heart, because it caused many heartbreaks for me.

Someone starting an ICO is that they should ensure that they have a good whitepaper which will educate people about the projects behind the ICO and also be able to convince them on why they should invest on the ICO.....

Friendship is among the most important relationship we will have our life. Friendship means being able to say anything. Friendship means honest to tell anything to each other no matter what the cost. We all need friends in the life. A friend is only the person who with whom one has a bond of mutual affection.

A friend is a person who is willing to take me the way I am. Act of a friend should result in self respect, comfort, better attitude and self improvement. We are also so many friends but in all friends we want one true friend which is perfectly know that we are something to each other.

Best friend is bond one true relationship this is called friendship. If we are going through a tough time, at a time best friend is show that no matter how tough things it and always be ready for struggle in our problems.

Friendship is good in the lives of every human but also what is the most important in friendship is that we should have good friends that will make our lives

better, there are some people that are not worthy to be called friends because they might destroy the life of a person instead of making it better so that is why we

need to be careful when choosing who we call our friends,,we need good friends in our lives and not just any kind of friend...

It’s a great feature because as the platform grows there will be ever more awesome questions, not necessarily Steem related, as well as brilliant answers.

Being able to share those specific questions or answers will be good for the platform.

It’s a good thing it has been released already before HF20, that way the team can totally focus on HF20 and later its own signup process. Sometimes it is good to get things done ahead of time. It won’t hurt and not having it on the task list anymore is a good thing because it will allow more focus on HF20 and further development.

Personally, I think Musing should have released that feature after HF20.

It is indeed a good advertising method but let us not forget that the major problem Steem has that prevented it from gaining mass adoption is the Creation of New Accounts

People who will see the shared thread-post will most likely create an account on Steem as there is no more enticing than earning $$$ just by answering questions online. However, those people will most likely be discouraged after waiting for 3days-1week to a month before Steemit Inc approved their account. Based on personal experience, People hate waiting

But overall, I think it is a good advertising method to get more people into Musing.

Medium disagrees with the “people do not like waiting” assessment.

Now one of the biggest, and highest quality, user generated content (UGC) platforms, Medium’s Beta was read only for most. Most people who joined and signed up in the first week needed to wait 4-6 months before they could actually create content.

Only people who already had a solid Twitter profile with decent following and interaction received access sooner.

Medium’s “extended private beta” (yet publicly visible) was an absolute success.

That is actually a very good point considering if my "Creation of New Account" problem will be solved, this could open a room for potential abuse like creating one account for questions and one account to answer or something like that.

Waiting for accounts to be approved first for months might filter out those who are in here only for the sake of upvptes. So that is really good point. And seeing Medium is successfull as you say, I won't argue about the quality of their user base.

However, I still do think that people will hate to see a platform in which it takes weeks to get an account. People now wants instant things.

Exactly.

Theoretically, and ideally too, Musing appeals to a long form content audience. Those willing to put in the time to craft solid answers more than likely also accept having to wait.

That said... it’s only 3 weeks anymore and then there will be a plethora of options to create accounts within usually 24 hours.

People now want instant things

And people will have always less patience if we feed their wants. When I was 12 I wanted a HiFi setup and my parents told me to work for it. 12 Months later when I finally had saved the amount needed for the model I wanted... when we went to buy it my parents paid for it all. And the money saved went into my savings. :)

Medium has a lot of low quality content, obviously. SEO bottom feeders are everywhere. But Medium built its reputation on “shop window” content created mostly by social media “gurus” and bloggers they knew or could see had invested in profile building already.

A friend of mine signed up same day as I did and I got in 5 weeks, with 7k followers on Twitter and hundreds of replies every day. He got in after 8 months because only 200 followers. He got in when they quietly opened it up for everyone.

Yes, it is a good advertising method.

By sharing post on Facebook and Twitter will definitely attract more users.

As more and more people will get knowledge about musing and will join this form.

Another thing that I'm sure musing team will be working on it is to show option to share other social ,media groups.

I remember that there was a time i read a comment some days ago and on the comments the person

adviced that musing.io team should create a feaure that will allow people on this platform to be able to

share threads on social media websites,,i am sure that person must be happy right now and i also want to thank the musing.io team for bringing this lovely

features to this platform...i think the feature would make the platform to become greater and more popular and that would bring more users to the steem blockchain

because many people would want to open a steem account so that they can use it on this wonderful platform and that will be a good development for the

steem blockchain too...and yes it is a good advertising method that will benefit steem users, investors and users on this platform too...

On a sunny day, the day as usual, I was sitting in front of a computer screen staring at the tabs in an open browser. Every now and then I type something that is quite important, even though it's actually just a status update on Twitter or Facebook. Behind me, there were several S3 students who were having fun chatting and discussing. Suddenly a question came from one of the female students, "What's the difference between Twitter and Facebook?"

My mind then drifted, thinking of various kinds of explanations that I could use as an answer to that question. There are some crazy answers that appear, here are one.

There are some fundamental differences about Facebook and Twitter. One that may be quite significant is the difference in the relationship between each individual in the two social networking sites. On Facebook, social relations between two individuals are commutative. That is, if A is friends with B, surely B is also friends with A. Unlike Facebook, Twitter uses the following-follower system. Understanding the following is the people we follow the status update, while followers are the people who follow our status updates. In this system, if the A follow (follows) the B, then the B does not have to always follow the A. The B can choose whoever he wants to follow the status update.

To make this difference look simpler, let's use graph theory to represent social relations between members on this social networking site. Before starting a graph representation, let's discuss a little theory about graphs.

Graph theory is used to learn about graphs, namely a mathematical structure that is used to model pair relationships between objects in a particular set of objects. A graph is a set of nodes or vertices and a set of edges or arcs that connect two specific nodes. Many things in this world can be modeled with graphs. The PageRank algorithm in Google's search engine is one example of the application of graphs.

There are two types of graphs. The first type is called an undirected graph which does not consider the difference between two nodes connected by an edge. The second type is called directed graph (digraph), which means that the edge is directed from one node to another. Let's look at the representation of social relations on Facebook and Twitter to end all this madness 😀

Friendships in Facebook can be modeled using non-directed graphs. This is due to the existence of an equal relationship between two people on this site as previously explained. So if the A is connected with B, then B is also connected to the A (commutative nature). Graph representation of social relations in Facebook can be seen in the picture below.

Examples of graph representation of social relations on Facebook

In the picture above we can see, A has a friendship with B. B has a friendship with A, C, and D. C has a friendship with B and D. Finally, D has a friendship with B and C.

Unlike Facebook, social relationships on Twitter can be represented as directed graphs, or digraphs. First, we assume that the direction on the edge shows the flow of information (or status updates) from one account to another. This means that if A follows B, then A will get status information from B, so that there will be a directed edge from B to A. For more details, see the following picture.

Examples of representations of social relations on Twitter

From the picture above, we can see some social relationships. The A follows B, or in other words A is a follower of B. B is a follower of C and D. C is a follower D. And finally D is a follower of B. On the edge connecting between B and D is

1. Exercising

Start Life Right and healthy by exercising regularly. Because quitting drug addiction can make you more stressful, then don't make drugs run away again. Start practicing to divert your attention to sports. Joining in a fitness center or gym is a good solution. But even if you want to practice with a personal trainer it doesn't matter too.

2. Often meditate

Drug addiction is not trivial and to stop it is not as easy as turning the palm of the hand because there are always obstacles. Meditate to make your heart and the mind is calmer because stress due to no longer taking drugs can often appear. When meditating, you will be better able to focus on body awareness and body breathing.

Just look for a safe, quiet and comfortable place to sit cross-legged. Then continue to close your eyes and focus on breathing for 10-15 minutes. Take a deep breath so that the heart and mind are far from anxiety. Attention that is fully placed on breathing will make the body more relaxed as well.

3. Doing Yoga

Practicing yoga is not only useful to make the body more flexible, elastic, strong and balanced. Yoga as a combination of meditation and exercise will be very helpful. Especially for drug addicts who are very intent on quitting their dependence. Stress will come very easily for those who break up with drugs. So from that, setting aside around 30 minutes a week several times for yoga is a good idea. The mind and body will become much fresher and better.

4. Steer clear of the place and environment of drug users

Many cases and experiences of drug addicts who fail to stop completely from their dependence. And this is due to still hanging out with drug user friends. Or play in an area full of drug users and alcoholics. You never know how strong your faith is. Especially Deciding to only quit drugs but not break up with the environment and these people.

5. Busying yourself with positive activities

People who have already been addicted to drugs and then managed to stop do not necessarily close the possibility of returning to drugs again. So, as much as possible busy yourself with a variety of positive activities, such as developing a new hobby.

6. Strengthen Faith

The key to strong faith is to worship a lot, pray and get closer to God. If you used to be addicted to drugs because of stress and medicine is your best escape. At this time God should be the main escape of all your problems. Through prayer and worship, the heart will be calmer.

Withdrawal consists of a series of symptoms, which in general terms are the opposite of those that appear when you are under the effect of the drug.

If the drug you use gives you euphoria and a lot of activity, in abstinence you will feel the opposite: decay and apathy.

If, on the other hand, what you consume leaves you with a feeling of relaxation and well-being, when you try to stop, you will feel agitation and irritability. Although it is true that in most withdrawal syndromes there is anxiety and irritability, apart of course from the intense desire to use.

Wanting to quit

If you finally find out that you do; that you do have an addiction and decide to quit, there is a very important step to begin with. It is always the first of all, and I assure you that without it you will not be able to leave it; and that is to want to leave it. But to really want to.

At this point, ask yourself a question: "Why do I want to give it up? Don't ask yourself why, but what for. In other words, look for your reasons for quitting drugs.

If the answer has to do with yourself, for example, "so that this doesn't destroy my life", "so that I can be healthy", "so that I can feel good about myself"... then it is very clear that you want to quit.

If, on the other hand, your answers have to do with others like, "so that my family can be proud of me", "so that my friends can see that I can,... then, you would have to rethink it; because it is not so clear.

If you intend to give up drugs for anyone other than yourself, to please anyone other than yourself, you probably won't get it.

Reinforce Your Decision

If you're completely determined to quit, there's an exercise that can further reinforce that decision.

Make a written list of all the inconveniences of using drugs for you. Don't write down very general things, such as "it destroys my life". Be more specific about what exactly is harmful to you. From how it affects your skin, your hair, your social relations, your family relations, your economy, etc.

On the other hand, make another list of the advantages of not consuming; a list as concrete as the previous one. Put both of them in a place where you can see them, and you can read them frequently.

Change your habits

Once you're on your way to your goal, it's a good idea to change your habits.

Schedule your days and even your hours so that they have nothing to do, or at least little to do with what you did before.

Don't frequent the places where you used drugs, don't frequent the people you used drugs with. Don't do it as a test to prove to yourself that you're over it; because in that case, the temptation will be too close and... why would you tempt luck?

Look for good companies

If possible, surround yourself with people who know and understand what you are going through and also with people who have already overcome it.

People who love you and value the effort you're making, such as family and friends, are the most appropriate people to seek support from.

Exercise

Practice physical exercise, this will help you to reduce the anxiety produced by stopping using drugs. Plus, you'll have a greater sense of taking care of your health, and that's motivating.

These are just a few tips that can help you if you decide to stop using drugs. But, you know that drug use alters many of the brain's functions, including self-control.

This means you may not be able to leave them alone. Ideally, you should go to a doctor who will refer you to the right professionals. It is usually necessary to go to therapy, both individual and group. Professionals will help you, but the firm decision not to use should be yours.

How to Overcome Drug Addiction Naturally

1. Intend to Stop

Everything that begins with an intention will certainly succeed, so decide to stop using drugs as the first step to overcome addiction. It doesn't matter if we can't do it just once. But it's important to keep making goals and having the intention to stop drugs from becoming real.

2. Record Risks / Side Effects of Drug Addiction

One more thing that must be noted, namely the harmful effects given to your life during drug consumption. By listing the side effects or risks, you will be automatically motivated to make behavior changes. Reading it again and again and again will provide motivation and strength to stop drugs. For example, by writing down what things are felt that have changed in life.

3. Exercising

Start living right and healthy by exercising regularly. Because quitting drug addiction can make you more stressful, don't make drugs run away again. Start practicing to divert your attention to sports. Joining a gym or gym is a good solution. But even if you want to practice with a personal trainer it doesn't matter too.

4. Ask for help from a nutritionist

There are many nutritional program references that can be found around us. Usually programs like this are actually offered through regional or sub-district hospitals where we live. There is no harm in considering this method because basically, we need to restore body health. The trick is to provide enough nutrients that the body needs through healthy and nutritious food.

4. Busying Yourself with Positive Activities

People who have already been addicted to drugs and then managed to stop do not necessarily close the possibility of returning to drugs again. So, as much as possible busy yourself with a variety of positive activities, such as developing a new hobby. There are many exciting activities as a way to relieve stress that will make your time and energy more valuable, for example:

  • Gardening
  • Fishing
  • Do rock climbing.
  • Join in the community of nature lovers.
  • Or you can also look for other communities according to your interests as long as it's positive. As long as there is no connection with drugs or liquor, you will be fine.

5. Strengthen Faith

The key to strong faith is to worship a lot, pray and get closer to God. If in the past you could be addicted to drugs because of the feeling of stress and drugs being your best escape. At this time God should be the main escape of all your problems. Through prayer and worship, the heart will be calmer.

By multiplying worship, this will automatically make the heart more sincere. You can also learn to be grateful for what you have got. Whatever problems are faced, always believe that God is dear to every people. God will not give trials beyond the limits of the ability of his people. Ask forgiveness and help God help provide the power to truly escape drug addiction.

I believe you are talking about a natural way of overcoming drug addiction. Drug addiction is a very challenging problem and many see it as impossible to be resolved but the first step to doing this is acknowledging you have a problem. You alone can help yourself by determining you want to be free of this devil. Once you have identified your problem, motivate yourself to do anything and everything possible to resolve it.

There may be relapse but you alone can actually fight it. Avoid people and places who are likely to make you relapse. Involve in regular exercise. Yoga is therapeutic as it helps in relaxing the body and mind.

Look for a support group. People who are also struggling with the same addiction and fighting to be better. Knowing you are not alone in the fight helps you heal faster. Some say listening to good ,music also helps relaxes the mind

What are the copyright issues when you are recreating someone else's painting?

There are numerous copies of famous paintings like Mona lisa,Last supper etc around the world. Can anyone recreate one and sell it ??
During painting classes the particular painting we were thought was found all over the internet in many places, in many FB art groups etc .No particular persons name was attatched to it. Is that right ???

Copyright laws differ from country to country. But you can take your brush and easel and recreate a Rembrandt and even sell it as long as you don't pretend it is a Rembrandt :)

You can recreate someone else painting for personal use which is legal but it becomes illegal when you

recreated the painting and put it up for sell....recreating someone else painting and selling it is against the copyright law and you will definitely face copyright

issues....but if you seek the permission of the original owner and he or she approves it and gives you the right to recreate the painting and sell it then that is when you

can be free from copyright issues.....so be on the safe side just seek permission from the original owner of the painting before you re-create it and sell it or use it for personal use....goodluck....

None at all. Just do it!

It is sad to see that this world is largely governed by appearances, in such a way that much depends on the way a person looks physically to be accepted in a certain environment or circle. And if you don't believe me, for example, take a walk around some fashionable den or some "cache" restaurant and you will see how many people are discriminated against just because they don't meet certain requirements, thus denying them access to those places, often known as VIP class (Very Important People, i).

The same happens in almost all the places you want to access, because the first thing you see of people is their physical appearance, their clothing, hence if the visitor looks impeccable in his image, is treated with some respect, kindness and have many considerations and attentions. However, if the opposite happens, that is, if the person wears simple clothes and looks poor, in many cases, is treated with a certain indifference and disdain, regardless of other characteristics of his personality.

However, sometimes we tend to be surprised when behind that appearance are hidden talented people and completely contrasted with what they show behind that image, which does not reflect what is at the bottom of what is observed with the naked eye.

This comes to mind because recently, looking closely at a video sent to my e-mail account, I saw an example of how a person can be judged without knowing their qualities, since a couple of high school boys from the United States entered a talent show in which they had to demonstrate their artistic talents through singing.

The couple consisted of a girl with a splendid figure and exquisite face named Charlotte, 16 years old, and Jonathan, a 17-year-old boy with a somewhat disheveled and obese appearance who, at first sight, according to the judges, did not have the slightest opportunity to stand out, because the first question was: "Do you think the combination is going to work? And the teenager's answer was: "Yes, because that's what our singing teacher told us.

Already with a certain resignation and a large dose of skepticism, the members of the jury were ready to listen to the couple, and what was the surprise of the judges as soon as they perceived the spectacular voice of Jonathan, who made rise from their seats most of the audience that filled an auditorium with capacity for about five thousand spectators.

As the interpretation of the two boys passed, it was appreciated how the euphoria and emotion produced by the fusion of two voices that, although very different, complemented each other in the song they had chosen to participate in that contest: she, according to the judges, had a very appropriate style for pop music, while he had a powerful tenor voice compared, according to a judge, with that of Luciano Pavarotti.

"You're good," one judge told Charlotte, "but you, Jonathan, are incredible," he told the young man, while another of the qualifiers added, "Together they're world class. Meanwhile, one more said to the teen: "You have an exceptionally good voice.

If we had to take advantage of the lesson that we had witnessed in the fragment of that program, it would be that we cannot go through life judging people by their appearance, by the way they dress, without first knowing them a little, because we can be surprised to discover that behind each person around us hides a talent that is waiting to be shown at the right time.

In this world, fortunately, there are many people whose humility is so great, who prefer to remain anonymous, behind an appearance of simplicity, while we can also see the other side of the coin, represented by people who boast of possessing outstanding qualities, so they only show their arrogance by underestimating the virtues of others.

In this context, kind reader, we should reflect to talk with our children and encourage respect for all people around them, regardless of their economic condition or physical appearance, because it is finally demonstrated that all human beings are endowed with great qualities that are only waiting to be discovered and exploited, not with the intention of boasting about them, but to share them with others.

Well... there's no easy answer to this one. It depends. On a lot of things actually!

I don't believe you should judge anyone. Certainly not at first sight, but not even on second or third sight. Basically, you don't know the whole past of this person, so who are you to judge?

"Yeah but this guy is always wearing this weird scarf! He's weird!"

How well do you know him? Maybe it was the scarf of the women he loved wholeheartedly, and who recently died after a long and terrible disease, and he's wearing the scarf to have the feeling that she's still right there with him...

On judging a book by its cover, there is another thing. There is something like "intuition", and that is our gut feeling, telling us things. Now, our gut feeling is not really our gut that's telling us things. It's our brain, which is processing thousands of pieces of information that it has gathered in a split second, and which it has matched to every piece of information we've come across in the past. And the result of that, is intuition. And it is not trying to explain to our consious brain what or how it is doing, it is just presented as a feeling, a gut feeling.

This intuition is a part of our monkey brain, our ancient brain, which controls our fight, flight, freeze reactions and all. We should use it, but we shouldn't let it control us.

I mostly make the comparison with driving a car. Intuition should be in the car, you should hear what it has to say. But it shouldn't be in the driver's seat. YOU need to be in the driver's seat. You need to control the weel. Listen to your intuition, learn to trust on it, and use its advice. No more, no less.

So judge a book by its cover? No, don't judge, but listen to what your intuition is telling you, it might know more than you think!

For me, I believe judging people just by their appearance will never always be accurate.

I have known some people who look snob, malicious, and unapproachable on the outside but very much caring and real on the inside.

It doesn't really matter how they look but of how they treat others. You can see so much angelic faces but will definitely betray you. Con artists will look so trust worthy to you but they are using this strategy to trick you.

Even wondering how a homeless person who looks very much suspicious do care about others and those very clean and presentable people belittle others.

So don't judge by appearance, or rather, don't judge at all.

We can’t judge people just by their appearance.

To judge someone there has to be many other qualities other than just appearance. Few of the qualities by which a person could be judge are:-

First of all we should look how he/she treat the other people specially which are in lower ranks like waiters, sweepers, and receptionist etc.

How kind one is towards other people?

How does he manage his anger?

Is he/she honest?

Is he/she is trustworthy?

Is he/she reliable?

Judging a book by it's cover or better yet, judging a person by their appearance is never accurate. A person's character and personality have very little to do with how they look. I'd like to think that I'm a very peaceful person, I don't like trouble, I despise fighting and I'm definitely a pacifist but people tend to believe otherwise because I keep a reasonably large beard and I lift weights alot so I'm pretty big.

In my country Nigeria, we have a lot of hoodlums and violent cultists who basically match my description and as such when people see me they sometimes think I'm one of them.

Judging a book by it's cover is never and can never be accurate. Who a person is can never be determined by the clothes that's on their back or by the way their face or bodies look.

In case of Steem, there are two main reasons that have been responsible for its rise and fall. These are the movement of Bitcoin and the interplay between supply and demand.

First, we have to understand all altcoins, Steem included, rise and fall with Bitcoin. This is because the cryptocurrency market is still small. As of today, Sept. 7, it only worth $203 Billion dollars in terms of market capitalization. When you consider that more than 50% of this is in Bitcoin, which is at $112 Billion USD in terms of market capitalization on the same day, it will not be a surprise that most fiat to crypto conversions go through Bitcoin. This creates a bottleneck in the market, such that for most people, in order to buy or sell Steem, they will have to go through Bitcoin. The result is that the price of Bitcoin creates a ripple effect that reaches the rest of the altcoins.

Thus, as you can see in the past few days, Steem went up in price, reaching almost above $1 just as the price of Bitcoin was going up past the $7,000 mark. Then, the same thing happened when Bitcoin's prices went down again. This movement was due to the ripple effect of Bitcoin's price. This should also explain why most cryptocurrencies are in the green when Bitcoin is in the green, and most are in the red when Bitcoin is also in the red.

Next, another factor responsible for the rise and fall of Steem is the interplay between supply and demand. This is a little tricky since a lot of things could affect supply and demand. For example, when SMTs were first announced about a year ago, there was an increase in the price of Steem, because the announcement created a lot of excitement over it's potential. This, in effect generated a demand for Steem and, as a result, prices went up for a little while.

There are other factors that affect supply and demand. Hopefully, the upcoming Hardfork could create a positive sentiment all over the blockchain and encourage the demand for Steem, once again, so that the price could pick up.

Thanks very much. This is really informative.

You're welcome. I'm glad you found it useful.

The major factor that is responsible for the rise and fall of a cryptocurrency is simply the demand and supply of

that cryptocurrency on the market,,when the demands of the a crypto like steem keeps increasing and the

demand is more than the supply then it will make its value to rise,,and when the demands keeps reducing

and the demands is lowert than the suuply then it will make the price to fall....

Physics is a broad field of science in which Mechanics is subset. Hence, quantum physics and quantum mechanics don't technically mean the same since mechanics is one of the specialized fields in physics that deals with movement of matter. However, people usually use these terms interchangeably.

1. Quantum mechanics

Quantum mechanics is the basic branch of physics that replaces classical mechanics at the level of atoms and subatoms. Quantum mechanics is part of quantum field theory and general quantum physics, which, along with general relativity, is one of the pillars of modern physics. The basis of quantum mechanics is that energy is not continuous, but discrete - in the form of 'packages' or 'quanta'. This concept is quite revolutionary, because it contradicts classical physics which assumes that energy is sustainable.

Quantum mechanics is very useful to explain the behavior of subatomic atoms and particles such as protons, neutrons and electrons that do not obey the laws of classical physics. Atom is usually described as a system where electrons (which are electrically negative) circulate around the atomic nucleus (which has a positive electric charge).

2. Quantum physics

Quantum physics is often called general relativity which is one of the pillars of modern physics. The basis of quantum mechanics is that energy is not continuous, but discrete - in the form of 'packages' or 'quanta'. This concept is revolutionary - opposed to the classic movement which assumes that energy is sustainable. These differences are due to Quantum Physics occupying moving material as waves and as matter.

Quantum physics also shows that we can change the past, that time is an illusion, and that there is life after death. Quantum mechanics is basically the science of consciousness and spirituality, it proves how connected we are to things in existence, all of which are illusions.

Study for a job, not a degree

Already know what profession you like? Then, go seek it out directly.

In Germany, around 60% of young people train as apprentices—in fields all over, from banking to IT to manufacturing. In the US, that number is below 5%, and mainly only has to do with construction jobs. That’s because the idea of “dual training,” or splitting yourself between on-the-job time at a company and classroom time at a vocational school, is much more popular in Europe than it is in America.

But that doesn’t mean young Americans can’t apply the same idea. If you’re interested in welding, metal work, masonry, forestry, landscaping, or many other hands-on fields, it won’t be difficult to find apprenticeships or internships that can lead directly to a full-time job. For industries like art, journalism, or music, things will prove a little trickier; still, the majority of jobs in these industries only “prefer” a bachelor’s degree, and employers focus much more on your talents and experiences than your official credentials. (If you want to be a doctor, hopefully you know that’s a far different story.)

Go to a school that’s not a school

If the job you want absolutely mandates some sort of credential, remember that the pricey four-year US university is not the be-all, end-all.

Community-college degrees are affordable, flexible—they often allow students to complete portions of the semester online or at their own pace—but you don’t even have to invest in that if you don’t want to.

Consider innovative new education ventures such as the Minerva School, an accredited university that strips away most of the overhead of higher education (such as professor tenure, student dorms, or even a physical campus) and offers a pared-down, cost-friendly experience of learning in its purest form. Minerva’s acceptance rate is 1.9%, lower than that of Harvard, Yale, or Oxford, which should give a hint as to how coveted its experience is amongst both students and employers. Then there’s the Holberton School (paywall), a two-year tech program in San Francisco that turns complete novices into engineering experts.

“We have some students who have found jobs at NASA and Google,” Holberton’s co-founder Julien Barbier tells Quartz. “These are proof points of the result—of what you can achieve by going through this type of education.”

Companies, particularly those in Silicon Valley, are progressively looking away from transcripts and extracurriculars. Google, in particular, truly couldn’t care less about what school you attended; it only wants to know if you can a) solve problems, b) lead, and c) offer the company something different. IBM says that about 10-15% of its new hires don’t have a college degree. And in Google’s view, the experience of going to college can sometimes even detract from a candidate’s qualifications—serving as only an “extended adolescence.“

Look into bootcamps and short programs

Coding bootcamps have exploded in popularity over the past few years, to the point where there’s even a $3,000 prep program to train people to apply for coding bootcamps.

If you’re interested in a computer science career, such programs are one of your best shots at getting there fast. With so much interest in the market, options abound for schools with different business models, teaching styles, and niche focuses. For maximum benefit, there are programs like 42, a coding school backed by a French billionaire that plunges students into a four-week “piscine” (literally, a pool) of immersive, intensive training, inviting them to spend nearly a whole month coding, day and night.

Just make sure to do your research—as not every bootcamp is capable of delivering what it promises, and some of them are falsely riding the wave of the success of others before them.

Take advantage of digital wonderland

The most obvious but underrated answer to expensive college educations is the internet. Online learning, while still scoffed at by many on the teaching end, is becoming much more popular amongst students as digital education platforms improve. Coursera, the world’s leading online learning platform, offers thousands of non-degree programs that teach essential skills.

One of them is “Learning How to Learn,” offered by the University of California-San Diego, which teaches the basics of picking up information: something that most colleges don’t ever bother going over.

“For a lot of people, face it, if you’re in class—somebody’s walking in and out, somebody else is leaning in front of you, you miss things and you can’t stop the instructor continuously to ask them to go back and repeat something. You’re wasting time,” Barb Oakley, the professor teaching the course, tells Quartz. Oakley adds that she struggled in college herself, often losing focus on instructors’ lecture materials after the first 10 minutes. Via her online course and others like it, students can rewind, absorb information at their own pace, and pick up skills they might otherwise never have even considered in a traditional college lecture setting.

Coursera is not alone: edX, Udacity, Khan Academy, UoPeople also provide free online courses, many of which are uploaded by professors at Harvard and other top schools. Putting aside the matter of the official diploma, you can receive a near-complete Ivy League education these days without ever setting foot on a campus—or paying a cent.

Oh no, education cannot be over rated. This is why.

A close look at the meaning of education beds the essential need of it. Education, a relevant tool for a worthwhile life. In line with the asked question, one is forced to re-ask, what is education? And how can it be over-rated? So, what is education?

Education as a phenomenon has enjoyed different definitions and consequently, one definition cannot be said to be Superior. However, world wide acceptable definitions are commonly identified with unified trend. Let us consider these,

"Education is the process of acquiring the body of knowledge and skills that people are expected to have in your society. A good education develops a critical thought process in addition to learning accepted facts. It also encourages intellectual curiosity, which will lead to lifelong learning." https://www.quora.com/What-do-you-mean-by-education-and goodeducation. According Oyekan (2000), education is the aggregate of learning processes. Ngada Audu James says, "Education is the only instrument that when wisely and effectively utilized can develop the entire society. It is expected to prepare the medical doctor for his profession, the engineer, architect, teacher, politician and all other professional towards the full development of their society. Education is the single largest industry that is expected to attract the lion's share of a nation's budget if meaningful development is to take place as it affects all spheres of life of the totality of any society."

From the foregoing, education is simply the clothes one must wear to avoid being called mad or immoral. It is a basic necessity for basic human existence.

Therefore can we overemphasize the importance of education? Oh no! No education, no life.

Meanwhile, people often confuse school with getting education. Succinct difference is ostensibly created. Education could be formal, non-formal or semi-formal.

While formal education is classroom-based carried out by trained teachers. Or we say, formal education is a planned learning content that is carried out in a structure by trained personnel. On the other hand, non-formal education doesn't have a designed learning content and it doesn't take place in classroom. Or we simply put, Organised and systematic learning activity conducted outside the formal education system.

Non-formal education and training is understood as education and training leading to qualifications which are not directly recognised as such by relevant national education authorities (or equivalent authorities) or not leading to any qualifications at all (although recognition and validation of learning outcomes could then be used and indirectly lead to formal qualifications). This concept is therefore distinguished from formal education and training, which: (a) typically takes place in (or, in the case of formal apprenticeships, dually involve) the system of schools, colleges and universities and other formal education institutions; (b) normally, although not necessarily, constitutes a continuous ladder of education for children and young people; (c) is directly relevant for the determination of the highest level of formal education attained. It is also distinguished from random and informal learning which are not intentional and/or not institutionalised. (https://unevoc.unesco.org/go.php?q=TVETipedia+Glossary+A-Z&id=185)

From the disparity above, can one establish that either of the two major forms of education can be overemphasized? In both ends, education commands the living of a person.

Actually, if one is not educated (formal and/or informal), one is simply 'dead'. However, schooling can be over rated in the sense that one needs more than going to school to become 'useful' and at times the best in one can be discovered outside school. Just like the footballers, sweemers and so on. They don't teach these and some other talented skills in school but can be grabbed outside school yet, the ones that don't attend school but maximize their innate potentials are individuals that outstanding and can compete with their counterparts that have attended school.

Difference Between Western Philosophy and Eastern Philosophy

Western Philosophy

  1. Western philosophy is a science commonly used globally in universities and their colonies.
  2. Philosophy developed from the philosophical tradition of the ancient Greeks.
  3. The main figures of Western philosophy include Plato, Thomas Aquinas, Réne Descartes,
  4. The philosophy of the world as a tool to rationalize things that the church celebrated in the Middle Ages.
  5. Philosophy is based on a universal view of man as a conqueror of nature.

Eastern Philosophy

  1. Eastern Philosophy is a special philosophical tradition that developed in Asia, especially in India, the People's Republic of China and other regions that once imagined its culture.
  2. The hallmark of Eastern Philosophy is the task of philosophical relations with religion.
  3. Names of several Eastern philosophers, including Siddharta Gautama / Buddha, Bodhidharma, Lao Tse, Confucius, Zhuang Zi and Mao Zedong.
  4. Eastern philosophy is more of a mind and conscience and is placed in harmony between nature and man.
  5. Eastern philosophy has more benefits as a tool to better understand the essence of indigenous culture.

Difference between Western Philosophy and Eastern Philosophy in acquiring and using knowledge:

Western Philosophy: Prioritizing reason as a tool of reasoning and acquiring knowledge. Abstraction is very important in understanding life. Knowledge is useful for mastering the world. Whereas Eastern Philosophy: Prioritizing the heart which is a means of unifying reason and intuition or intelligence and persuasion. Emphasize the concrete symbol. Knowledge is useful to be wise in dealing with difficult life.

Is Waking up in the Morning truly a Necessity?

So I am not a Morning person, I like to take my Time to wake up. That being said I don't have a Job so I can do that. But what I want to ask is that why Waking up early in the Morning is considered a Good Thing or a Necessity.

My Mom always scolds me for not waking up early in the Morning and honestly I fail to get the Logic behind Waking up early.

I hope this question leads to an Interesting thread.

I used to sleep during the day every day, but I started getting sick. I also couldn't go out or do things that other people did because I was asleep during the day and I was only awake at night when others were sleeping. It's more comfortable for me, but I found it to be unhealthy and it blocked me from doing essential things.

I decided to go back to sleeping in the night and being awake during the day and it was a life changer. I don't feel sick so much anymore and I have a lot of time to do things that I needed to do before but couldn't.

If you want to read more, I made a post talking about exactly this topic:

https://steemit.com/blog/@cryptosharon/why-i-stopped-sleeping-during-the-day-and-switched-over-to-the-night

Well, they say the early bird gets the most worms. Waking up in the morning is a necessity because time is something you can't get back. So basically, waking up early means starting early and having more time to accomplish whatever it is that you want to in a day.

If you spend more time getting more sleep than you need then its time wasted.

So wake up early and go achieve some goals and make some money

The virtue of getting up in the morning before dawn is no less than the Prophet Muhammad explained to each of his people. Various benefits will be obtained, whether it is physical or spiritual health when someone does it with istiqomah. Unfortunately, for people who are not used to getting up early, they often feel objections because usually at that time it was full of Satan's temptations. So that the body is not able to resist sleepiness, then continues to sleep until it loses its dawn.

But for believers it certainly does not make such a thing feel heavy, because it has become a routine that needs to be implemented in order to be able to increase their faith in Allah SWT.

the virtues obtained when we are able to apply wake up routinely and istiqomah are:

1. Become the Key to Opening the Door of Sustenance

Morning blessings have built a strong commitment to identity to eliminate laziness, and arouse a sense of enthusiasm for daily activities.

2. Morning Brings Good Luck

Not only physical and spiritual health will be obtained for those who hasten to get up in the morning. Luck will also always accompany those who want to carry it out. Remember luck did come unexpectedly.

3. Become a Group Prayed by Angels

The angel of Allah SWT will not remain silent if he sees a man of faith doing this good routine. The sentence of prayer offered by angels in the morning will be for them, so that this will make it easier to find blessings in the world.

4. Avoid feeling lazy

Physical health and mental freshness that has been obtained, certainly makes the body feel fitter, full of enthusiasm, and kept away from lazing. That is the virtue for anyone who adopts getting up early before dawn. In addition to obtaining a reward from the practice of Sunnah and Fardhu, physically is certainly healthier.

As much as I hate to say it yes it is !

I mean seriously think about it ,why is this waking up in the morning so much promoted

Why do all great people wake up in the morning despite being successful , I think there is a flaw in comparing waking up early with success

But can we just think about it as a time where in the human species is just blessed ,with so much disturbance and choas that comes with technology I think waking up in the morning and giving ourselves some personal time is a good thing to do

Not now ,but in the near future where everything will just becomes worse with attention economy I think it will definitely become a necessity in the near future or may be NOW .

NO, its not a necessity. If you die, you never wake up again. Trust me, I know.

My favourite sandwich is one I often make myself and have eaten since I was a kid.

You take the crusts from the ends of a loaf of bread and butter them.  Then use a full packet of salt and vinegar crisps (chips),  slice up some pickled onions and some pickled beetroot and smother the whole thing with HP brown sauce, or use ketchup if you prefer.

Stick the other crust on top and squash it all down.

Totally delicious, you have to try it :-)

I think it would be a sandwich I had in a gourmet bakery I went to two years ago. I invited a friend over and we had sandwiches together. The bread had been made with tasty spices and had oregano, and it was filled with a variety of tasty things: cheese, ham, pink sauce (ketchup and mayonnaise), egg and probably other things like tomato slices.

There was more to it that I can't remember due to how long ago it was, but it was indisputably one of the best sandwiches I ever had. I remember feeling in awe for the sandwich, because it was one of the tastiest things I'd eaten in the whole year.

The concept of Universal is: equivalent (equal) throughout the Universe. Even if one restricts the concept to the land, the English language can not be universal. Already from one district to another of London it changes (p.e. cockney), it is even worse if you go to Scotland or Jamaica.

One  only has to listen to what the Creoles have done with the French they  have imposed on them: a cheerful and singing language. That's to say! ;)

In  addition to the accent, the peoples add the concepts present in their  culture but absent from the official language that's why we have so many  foreign words in the French language, as in all the languages of the  world that had, a day, a contact with another culture. (What travels best is insults and English is very poor on that side.)

And  it goes further than that: the concept of taste of food is present in  French, but the way we express it is, to say the least, impractical. In  Quebec, a region where Anglicism is very much in the game, we have  taken the English form, translated the words into French and we say: it  tastes good for your poutine. It's not French, but it's very practical.

The "thing" that becomes universal is the Globish. An extreme simplification of the shakespear language

People who have a national ego more developed than their reasoning, dream (fantasement) that their language is spoken by all the peoples of the earth. Besides that denotes an obvious intellectual laziness, it is strategically an incredible stupidity. It means that the whole planet understands what you say, but you do not understand a word from other languages because you never needed to learn them. This is exactly why (laziness) that I help a Japanese who speaks to me in English in the street but that I pretend not to speak the language when it is an anglophone who approaches me in English. It is exactly for this (strategy) that the henchmen, the butchers, ... created their derivatives of lava lavangue fravançavaise (in Javanese in the text). So for a language to be Universal it is necessary: that it is not attached to a nation, nor to a culture and that almost nobody speaks it.

How do you become a "morning person" if you have trouble getting out of bed?

I smash the "snooze" button at least 3-5x every morning. I want to train myself to get up earlier, motivated and ready for the day.

I personally think you can't easily force your own body clock into running against its natural state.

In your case, you struggle to get up earlier and motivated, so accept what you feel is natural to you and this will allow yourself to be more productive as you aren't wasting energy and will-power trying to be a morning person. I'd assume after a lot of training, its possible to change and for it to come naturally, but why bother?

I am useless at getting up early, and mornings are a productivity wasteland for me if I'm forced to get up so this is what I do.

I sleep when I'm tired, which is often around 3 to 4amish,  and I wake up around 11ish, at which time I eat, read the papers and don't even attempt to do any work unless I feel really motivated to do some. My best hours for working are 10pm to about 4am. As for eating. I eat when I feel hungry and breakfast is always my biggest meal. I naturally seem to eat very little later on.

So, if you need to wake early for work or other commitments then keep training yourself using repitition and consistancy and I'm sure you will get the place you want to be, but if its not so critical, try simply listening to your own body.

Sleep when you're tired and eat when you're hungry!

This has something mostly to do with one's body clock.

It is a scientific fact that the human adult body needs at least 7-9 hours of sleep in order to function well the next day and immediately feel refreshed after waking up. If one have had a good sleep, for sure that person will have no trouble getting out of bed.

The problem however is not the waking up but when a person goes to sleep. Often times, teenagers and young adults have inconsistent sleeping schedules. They just sleep whenever they want or  when their body feels like resting.

This is the major reason that leads to people having trouble getting out of bed and can be easily solved by having a stable and consistent sleeping schedule, allowing one to get a good amount of sleep.

The first weak point of the human body is on the back of the head. The head is very sensitive, the weakest point on the body is the back of the head. If the part is hit the victim will faint instantly.

When you hit it harder then that person can die. Because of damage to the brain regulating consciousness system, the Reticular Activating System. Healed only with one road, namely surgery, but even then the chances are very small. So don't hit someone on the back of the head!

In men, it turns out one of the points of weakness. If pressed, it will definitely hurt, but when hit hard can result in damage to the respiratory system. Not only that, the vocal cords will be damaged, even worse those who are hit in the Adam's area can be victims of death. So don't hit people in the Adam's area, except in a state of urgency.

If you often see martial arts scenes or even learn them, often to do resistance there is a movement to hit the neck. That is because the neck is a weak part and able to paralyze the opponent. If the victim who is hit on that part will usually faint immediately then wake up after a while.

But when the blow is too hard, the victim can experience paralysis, even death! The reason is, the neck has many blood vessels called Carotid Artery which functions to deliver oxygen to the brain, if it is damaged, the result is that oxygen flow to the brain stops and is very fatal.

The brain. A drug, a blow a little violent, an unhealthy ideology, a doctrine a little intolerant ... and here are hundreds or even millions of deaths.

It did cross my mind until 5 years ago when my home province was struck with a 7.2 magnitude earthquake and had to experience almost all of those stuffs you listed above.

Fortunately the buildings in our town where left undamaged but the power plant supplying electricity to the whole province was badly damaged. Since the parts needed where mostly custom-made and are very expensive, they don't have any backup parts in case of emergencies like these (or so they said). Added with the cable lines in the whole province being messed up, it took almost 3 months to get the electricity back up again.

Anyway, many people here wants to experience living life away from modern stuffs and technologies we are now used to,, but truth be told it isn't that great. Having no access to the internet equals limited source of information which we badly needed at that time, no "comfy stuffs" like AC is just unbearable in a hot country. I could probably live without a phone or SMS but no. After having experienced all those things, it never once again crossed my mind to live away from modern life. I love living life in comfort. :)

I see your point. Thanks for the reply.

@Acesontop YES! A resounding yes.

I used to tell my friends that I wished I was back in the Victorian era with no smartphones, where people will dip their quills in ink and write long meaningful letters to each other.

But going back to your question about living in a cabin away from the modern life, it has crossed my mind most particularly after reading some parts of Walden, the seminal work of Henry David Thoreau.

Modern life with all its conveniences and technology has not only quickened the pace of living, but has also inevitably made life more complicated. Hence, the appeal of a cabin lifestyle, besides the intimacy with nature, is its simplicity.

One quote that struck me from Walden: "Live in each season as it passes; breathe the air, drink the drink, taste the fruit, and resign yourself to the influence of the earth."

/

But even if we don't live a cabin life in accordance to the natural rhythm of the seasons, we can strive to live a simple life right where we are, even in the heart of a bustling city (for me, that's Singapore).

(:

Yes, the thought has crossed my mind more than once. In fact it is one of my more prominent day dreams that also have a hint of reality in them :-) Although I wouldn't call it a day dream, since I not only have the inclination of doing so but I am also completely capable of doing something like this.

In the spirit of being truthful, I will also admit that the thought of doing so permanently is not what I want. To be able live without the privilege of modern technology and other creature comforts is something that I only want to do as a 'part time' thing. The idea is to detach myself sufficiently from this modern world to be able to see the bigger picture. My idea is not that of 'abstinence' from it.

I remember that one of the first times that this kind of thought occurred to me was during my university days and I wanted to do it so that I maybe able understand this world better and also be able to appreciate the gifts and comforts that I have and not take them for granted....

What would be different under Mike Pence if Trump were impeached?

If Donald Trump were impeached and had to step aside, now VP Mike Pence would become de facto successor and the next President of the United States.

What would be different under him politically. Would the country suffer even more setbacks than under maverick Trump?

If the president of the United States were to be removed from office, what would come could be even worse. This is Mike Pence, the number two former governor of the most controversial government on the planet.

The image of a president leaving office ahead of schedule is not often seen in the United States, but neither is it strange. Many citizens can still remember when, in 1974, President Richard Nixon, the same man who started the current war on drugs, announced his resignation in a televised speech following the Watergate scandal. Added to this image of reality, House of Cards, the popular Netflix series, offers another fictitious image of the resignation of a President. In both cases, the departure of the U.S. Commander-in-Chief came after a deep crisis of governance.

Imagining that Donald Trump does not finish his presidency is not difficult. Almost every day since he took office has been characterized as controversial. This, of course, comes from the beginning of his electoral career in mid-2015. Almost every major power in the country opposed his campaign. Since his inauguration there have been protests all over the country against his policies.

But in addition, in the month he has been in the White House he has already resigned his National Security advisor, Michael Flynn, while several of his secretaries are still missing to be confirmed in the Senate. And at this moment the President is facing the scandal caused by the New York Times revelation that several members of his campaign had contacts with the Russian government, accused last year of having interfered in the elections.

The departure of a President implies that the Vice President assumes office, as happened when Gerald Ford replaced Nixon for the remainder of his term. If Trump leaves, Mike Pence, 57, would remain in the Oval office. Compared to his boss, Pence has had a quieter profile. His statements have been less explosive and so far his work has revolved around diplomacy - participating in the White House's communication with other states around the world - and government dialogue, especially with religious communities. But perhaps Pence's past actions speak more and better of him than his words as Vice President.

An ambiguous career

Pence has a long history in politics. Before arriving in his new position, he was governor of his home state, Indiana, from 2013. In addition, he served twelve years in the House of Representatives, from 2001 to 2013. An attorney by training, Pence has been known for defending policies that are clearly religiously and fiscally conservative. He is, as he has described himself, Christian, conservative, and Republican.

Upon his arrival in the House in 2001, Pence joined the International Affairs Committee. Along with his fellow Republicans, he was one of the supporters of the Patriotic Act, which was promoted by the George Bush administration after the September 11 attacks. In addition, like almost all members of the Republican and Democratic parties, Pence passed the resolution that allowed the presence of U.S. troops in Afghanistan. A little more than a year later, he was also on the side of the invasion of Iraq. In addition to the war on terrorism, Pence supported Bush's efforts to win the war on drugs.

On international issues, however, his positions are varied. While supporting military invasions in the Middle East, Pence was an immigration advocate during the Bush administration. Between 2006 and 2007 he supported the possibility of immigration reform that would allow citizens of other countries to go to work in the United States for a limited time. At the time, he stated, "We are a nation of immigrants. I don't just understand it, I live it. He was thinking of his own grandfather, who had come from Ireland at the beginning of the 20th century to work in Chicago.

Now, his positions on this issue varied over the years. In 2014, as governor of Indiana, he joined his Republican counterparts in challenging an executive order of then-President Barack Obama protecting nearly five million undocumented immigrants from deportation. And in 2015, when Donald Trump's election campaign was just beginning and Pence had not joined it, he disagreed with the proposal of today's head of state to prevent Muslims from entering the United States.

On the economic front, Pence has advocated a steady and substantial reduction in public spending and taxes. Thus, in 2010, like his supporters, he opposed Obamacare, the law that sought to give access to health insurance to millions of Americans who cannot afford it; however, when he was governor of Indiana, he called for an expansion of the historic Medicaid and Medicare social programs, which help the poorest access health care, so that it would have greater coverage for people who were not so poor, but who lived without health insurance. He also strengthened the Healthy Indiana Plan, which has similar purposes to Obamacare, and has fought for reforms to lower the costs of medicines and medical services.

Pence's economic positions are also ambiguous. As a congressman and governor, he advocated for the country to sign free trade agreements around the world. And this is significant because, as is well known, Trump came into office, in part, with a promise to restructure U.S. trade relations. As he said at the time, free trade agreements bankrupted industries and killed jobs.

But in addition, Pence's old ideas become relevant because his home state was one of the key states in Trump's triumph. Along with Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, among others, Indiana belongs to the so-called Rust Belt, which has historically been an industrial manufacturing zone. A good part of Trump's campaign was directed to these states, because there have been many people who have lost their jobs due to the transfer of factories to other countries like Mexico.

Trump blamed free trade for this and promised to return the jobs to the country. Only in December 2016, a month before taking office as president, Trump and Pence managed to get the company Carrier, which mainly produces refrigeration systems, to desist in its project to move its plant to Mexico, which was going to mean the loss of about 2000 jobs in the capital of the state of today's Vice President.

In addition, Pence's figure served Trump's campaign because during his term of office unemployment was reduced by half, which gave him great ancestry among the families of workers. Added to this was his policy of cutting taxes every year, which gave him enormous popularity. But, above all, there is the fact that Pence, unlike Trump himself or many of the politicians who identify with the establishment, is not a millionaire and shares many of the problems of the average American.

Last year, Pence disclosed his tax returns, and they showed that most of his income came from his governor's salary and did not exceed $200,000 a year. The Vice President's wife, Mrs. Karen Pence, also made a living from her salary as an arts teacher. Between them, they also paid a student debt of nearly $300,000 that they had acquired to finance the education of their three children.

First God

However, although during his political career Pence has fluctuated in some of his ideals, there is one point at which he has never changed in those years: his defense of Christian values. Born into a Catholic and Democratic family in 1959, in the late 1970s the former governor of Indiana converted to Protestantism. His religious convictions are deep and he considers himself a family man. In 1985 he married Karen Batten and they had three children, Michael, Charlotte and Audrey.

In the public arena Pence has always defended his Christian ideals. Since 1988, when he lost his first campaign to the House, and during the 1990s, when he became a radio and television broadcaster, Pence has said the United States must follow the laws of what he calls "God's plan. According to him, the country's deviation from its founding Christian precepts could lead to the "destruction of civilization.

In this sense, Pence has been very sensitive to debates such as abortion and egalitarian marriage. Faced with the first issue, during his career as a congressman he often asked to de-finance the organization Planned Parenthood, which provides services to American women so that they can decide about their reproductive lives. Among other functions, Planned Parenthood provides access to safe abortions. Within days of taking office as Vice President, the former governor supported the so-called "march for life," held after the Women's March. In it he again charged Planned Parenthood.

We also recommend: "No gays accepted".

During the campaign, Pence also promised several conservative sectors that he would confine to "the ashes of history" the court ruling known as Roe v. Wade, which decriminalized abortion nationwide in 1973. In addition, during his term as governor he signed several state laws that only allowed abortion in cases where the mother's life was in danger. These laws were later annulled, but with them Pence strengthened his image as a radical conservative.

Faced with the second issue, sexual diversity, Pence has radically opposed same-sex marriage. In 2006, he pushed for a constitutional amendment that sought to ban equal marriage throughout the country. His actions against the LGBTI community don't stop there. As governor, he signed several state laws that sought, among other things, to imprison same-sex couples seeking to marry or to allow religious discrimination against LGBTI people.

Pence is a mad man. World war 3 would be imminent if he took over.

A whole lot of factors triggered the bull run. We also need to recognize that there are forces at play that we might not know of or be able to quantify. Nevertheless, here is a possible list of reason that gave us a boost:

1. During 2017 we revived almost daily mainstream media coverage

2. Forbes, CNBC, Bloomberg ran several pieces about this 'new type of money' called Bitcoin. Smaller media fishes soon caught onto it.

3. Unregulated fiat gateways into the crypto market thrived till the end of 2017.

4. In April 2017, Japan and China brought into play regulation that allowed Bitcoin to be viewed in a legally favorable light.

5. Then after Bitcoin broke 2K and 5K mark, the idea that other altcoins might do the same came into being. A lot of altcoins were bought because people that they were buying the next Bitcoin.

6. A combination of all theses factors created a FOMO (Fear of missing out) and crypto was bought left and right by people who thought that they were missing out on crypto action.

Thanks for the reply.

That's a very detailed analysis. I never thought of the reasons for last year's bull run.

Thanks for sharing.

The bull run will be triggered if the demands increases

on the market, usually towards the last quarter of the year many more people tend to invest on the

cryptocurrency market so that they can earn income with the investment and the more investments are

coming in then the more powerful the bull run will start and keep running till people start withdrawing their investments...

Black is a color that is often in fashion.

Orange is the New Black simply means that orange is now fashionable.

It has nothing to do with race.

Historically, we all know that at some point in time Black people were discriminated and even enslaved by other race. The Orange in the "Orange is the new Black" refers to prisoners (the colour of their uniforms are mostly orange).

Prisoners, even those that are already released and have already served their service are often discriminated and frowned upon in the outside world like the blacks from centuries ago.

It is important to note that a coins value is deeply connected to the current Total Supply Available and the Demand for that coin.

In the scenario in which STEEM hits around $0.00, that just basically means only a  few people wants to own it or there is just too much supply with less demand for it. Take Dogecoin as an example, currently it's price value is at $0.005728 (mostly because it has over 100 times more supply than STEEM). But is still rank #20 in terms of Market Capitalization.

As long as there are people left who wants to own a piece of STEEM, it will totally never be out of value. A hypothetical $0.001 price still has a chance to increase ten-fold in just a month.

For reference: Steem's price from a year ago was only at $0.07 and it managed to increased 100 times more with it's current market price now.

When the price of steem reaches 0.00$ it means that steem no longer has value and it means it is not worth investing on it and that would mean that the market will be empty...

I don't believe it's possible to put buy or sell orders at 0, so this is not something that will happen, but it can hit the lowest possible unit. But realistically, at that point people would have abandoned the token completely. You'd have plenty of accounts holding significant amounts of STEEM that are worth nothing because nobody values it. But think about what this means. It means the blockchain itself would not be operating at all due to inactivity. By this time, none of the websites interacting with the chain would exist. The only way to tell what used to be there is through snapshots through the wayback machine or if some fellow stores a copy of the now-defunct blockchain data.

That's what it effectively would mean for STEEM to "disappear", forget about price.

It's also interesting to speculate what events would have conspired to get to that point. We already know another platform that went through such a nose-dive and is near the point of being shuttered: it is called bitconnect. As long as there's some amount of believers, it can maintain a very low price and low activity. But at that point, people have moved onto other platforms that stand a better chance at persisting and being used in the world. And we have others that are completely dead. No nodes operating.

Not sure if this answers your question, but that's what it'll be like. If it gets to these situations, barring some miracle the platform will effectively be dead.

We can also talk about how the debt ratio would bend as it nose dives, but this probably isn't so important to the question other than it being fun to think about.

It can never hit $0.00 but if it does, definitely it will start rising again with time

I don't think such can happen but if it does, it will surely rise back again. An ubiquitous nature of every cryptocurrency is their erratic character which means they can rise and fall unexpectedly. But I haven't noticed or heard about consistent cryptos falling down to $0.00.

The more the activities in the Blockchain either by investing or developing the blockchain system, the more chances of developing the crypto value.

Thanks for reading and I hope this helps.

I don't think so it is possible , as long as there are stake holders who are invested heavily the whales and exchanges listing the coin ,there is no way the coin will reach zero value ,there is always some sort of centralisation that comes attached to a decentralised economy.

I would say more than it is a beginning of success that has not yet materialized in total success. Indeed,  the objective of Bitcoin was initially to replace existing currencies,  controlled by central authorities, with a non-centralized virtual  currency whose value is determined by its users. This  very ambitious vision has rallied millions of people who have invested  heavily in Bitcoin to exceed a capitalization of 100 billion dollars in a  few years. Even  if this seems impressive, we are still far from seeing bitcoin or other  crypto-currencies, replacing the classic currencies, and this for the  following reasons:

1- The technological limitation: Bitcoin currently has a capacity of 3 to 4 transactions per second. Even  if other crypto-currencies have a much higher capacity than Bitcoin  (example: 20 capacities per second for the ethereum), we see that  cryptocurrencies have a capacity far behind the current payment  technologies like Visa which has a capacity of 1667 transactions per second. This seriously limits the massive adoption of crypto-currencies. Nevertheless,  with the technological improvements made to cryptocurrencies, one could  see a considerable increase in their capacity in the years to come.

2- Transaction costs: with the increase in Bitcoin mining costs, Bitcoin transfer fees have increased exponentially. Pay for everyday things like shopping, small purchases etc. is no longer interesting for people with Bitcoin.

3-  Fluctuations: The value of Bitcoin fluctuates very rapidly and does not  yet provide stability allowing merchants to accept payments in Bitcoin.  As long as the value of Bitcoin is not stable, it can only be adopted by investors or merchants who can tolerate high risks.

Bitcoin  or crypto-currencies in general have marked the beginning of a new  revolution in current monetary systems, but they still have a long way  to go before they succeed in realizing the initial vision of replacing  centralized money with a decentralized currency. .

Most stories in the Bible can be true, but most of them are more likely to be invented by those who wrote it.

And about he being married to many women, that also happens in the current world, so it's nothing weird. Arab men in old ages had gigantic harems with dozens, if not hundreds of women who were married to them.

I have a religion and my Religion is Islam. I am a Muslim.

Thanks for reading and I hope this helps

Yes I do have a religion, I'm a Christian but I have a good number of friends who are atheists, and according to their reasoning, they believe that there's no God whatsoever because they don't understand how people can kneel down and pray to imaginary beings who they can't see, touch or even confirm if they're even hearing them. One of them told me that she believes religion is just a way human beings explain things that science hasn't yet been able to explain.

The religion which i practice is christianity and i believe that God exists and he is the creator of heaven and earth,,but sometimes there are some mystireous things that happen and make me want to ask so many

questions from God if i have the chance to...innocent children dying, people being killed inside the church, etc and the question is why should God allow those worshipping him to die in a very pathetic death like

bomb attacks, why can’t he just simply save them and keep them alive??why do some bad and wicked people live long on earth while those that are innocent die at a

very early age??there are many things that happen in the society and it just makes me wonder and ask that “why did God allow this to happen or why can’t he simply stop it”??

Yes I do

I'm Christian.

Been a Christian means you are a follower of Christ

You accept Christ as your lord and personal saviour.

I was born in Christian home but that does not automatically makes me a Christian.

To be a Christian you have to believe in your heart that Christ died for you and accept him as your saviour but first you have to believe there  God and Jesus is the son of God.

Christianity is not the only religion as we have some that don't believe God exist and some that don't believe Jesus is the son of God.

Im a Christian because I can't imagine my life without God. With all the craziness of this world I found peace in Him. Christianity isy way of life not just a religion.

No, I believe in myself not in some imaginary being.

No, it wouldn’t. In fact, the Steem blockchain would be a worse place without flagging because it would become an eden for plagiarizers, copyright infringements, and imposters banking on the goodwill and welcoming nature of the Steem nature.

A while ago payouts were received after only 1 day rather than the 7 days we know now. That was changed because upvoters often didn’t have the opportunity to timely remove their upvote when an imposter was caught or didn’t confirm their identity and was thus wrongly upvoted.

While whales can downvote other Steemians and even dent their reputation, Steemians should learn that a vote (up- or downvote) is a systemwide free vote. Nothing else. That the upvote may contain rewards is only defined by the price feed but is definitely not a right.

Once understood that upvotes are merely that, a systemwide thumbs up or down, people may hopefully look differently at flags. While flags can “hide” content from sites, that is all they do. The content is still on the blockchain and the blockchain itself is immutable. Thus there is no oppression of free expression when content it flagged. IT is merely a disagreement with the rewards. Whether that disagreement is because of content, content quality, or personal feuds is irrelevant for the blockchain. The blockchain doesn’t hide any content, even not flagged content.

Just like we are free to upvote, everyone is free to flag any post or comment on the Steem blockchain.

Without measures like flags Steem would be the Wild Wild West for copyright infringers. A horrible place to be, a place milked even more by abusers. A place where even @steemcleaners wouldn’t be able to act and where phishing fighters like @arcange couldn’t nuke a confirmed phishing account into oblivion..

No. It will not be a better platform if the flagging feature is removed. Flagging is the only mechanism by which an over-rewarded post can be corrected. If you agree that the ultimate goal is to have a good distribution of the reward pool as to encourage adoption of the token, then you must also recognize that in the absence of flagging, the system boils down to an N-person prisoner's dilemma instance when it comes to voting. The main properties of this are:

  1. A stakeholder will earn more if they use their voting power to solely vote for themselves.
  2. If every stakeholder voted selfishly for themselves, the distribution of the rewards pool becomes flat and it is harmful for the platform, as there is no chance that new players will enter the system.

Some people dispute (1), claiming that actually there are ways to earn much more than self voting, however I believe this to actually be an illusion, involving community groups that give higher than self-voting returns, but this ultimately comes from various community members not maximizing their portion of the community stake.

But the main point of this setup is that in the absence of flagging, stakeholders are incentivized to engage in selfish behavior. In a system in which all participants behave rationally, the ultimate configuration will be that all participants will self vote.

The presence of flagging, or the threat of flagging, introduces an extra element where cooperators can correct the behavior of defectors (self-voters), and indeed there's quite a pressure on large stake-holders not to self vote. The white paper argues that this flag "solves" this problem, and prevents the voting problem from being an instance of Prisoner's Dilemma.

A more realistic look

Where this simplistic view falls short, I suppose, is that even in the absence of flagging, it's possible that a prisoner's dilemma does not exist in other ways. For example, there is a time-dependent element to the evaluation function concerning the output of the game. Many people believe that restricting themselves from self voting, and creating communities that encourage the spreading of votes and rewarding valuable contributions will lead to long term growth of the token, and subsequently act in a way that maximizes the long term value.

We have an interesting set of factions on this platform. There are certainly those trying to milk the platform selfishly as much as possible. Delegating to bid bots is a form of this, though well-hidden. And they turn around and cash it out.

On the other hand, there are those that recognize that there's not enough power to correct for much of this behavior, and the delegations even make it trickier to effectively target the benefactors of this. In certain factions, they are using stake to spread to many people, but they also self-vote to boost the future effectiveness of their stake. In other words, they are rather in the middle: self-vote a little to not lose too much ground to pure self-voters and still spread some of the stake around to the wider community.

And then there'a subset that uses flagging to correct for various abusive behaviors on the platform. There are cases where a whale with a lot of power can get a little too much say here, but in theory as the stake gets distributed further and further, there will be a better ability to counter whale votes. Since stake weighting is linear, multiple smaller parties can combine their stake to counter the actions of a larger party. But in the early stages, with an imbalance of stake the effect of this is rather limited.

In any case, this is all a very interesting experiment to see. Whatever the situation is, it is an instance of a complex multi-person game, and it will need a lot more nuanced analysis to determine how best to make changes to it to encourage a better outcome.

Well i do not think steemit will be a better platform if flagging feature is removed, infact removal of the

flagging feature will do more harm than good because it will make spammers to be comfortable with creating

spam contents since they know that there is no way to get flagged for spamming and it means such

spammers will keep getting encouraged to keep spamming and destroying the purpose of the steemit platform...

The flagging features was created for a good purpose which is to maintain sanity on the steemit platform so that people can be flagged whenever they post stolen

contents or spam contents but unfortunately many people now abuse the flagging feature and use it as a method of attacking the content of a user and a user’s

reputation even when the user is not guilty or do not deserved to be flagged, some steemit bloggers have personal issue with another blogger and they begin to

flag the contents of the user for no justifiable reasons...but at the same time i still believe that there are some people that still positively and genuinely still use the flag feature and they only flag contents that are

against the posting guidelines on steemit...if we look at the advantage and the disadvantage of the flagging feature then i think that flagging should still be allowed to stay but there should be more strict investigation

done to confirm if a flagged contents is really worthy to be flagged or it was just an intentional act done just to suffer the user who posted the content....

There are many possible ways that bitcoin price can be manipulated on the market but one of the common

ways that is usually done or recently done is that a person with very huge investments on bitcoin will

suddenly withdraw his or her investments on the bitcoin market so that he or she can use that to cause panic

sell and use it it to their own advantage....something of sort recently happened to bitcoin many hours ago whereby someone withdrew bitcoin worth more than

seven million dollars and he or she caused a panic sell which led to a sudden decline of bitcoin price wirhin some minutes.....

WEKU is the first SAAS community network. This is actually a software-as-a-service (SASS) platform.

Community websites can be easily built for specific purposes. The contents are separated according to the purpose of the site

WeKu blockchain is very similar to the Steem blockchain. The white paper clearly mentions that it is based on Steemit and Graphene frameworks.  If you go to their platform website (https://deals.weku.io/) you will notice the similarity with Steemit

Like here on the Steem blockchain, WeKu too is about rewarding the content creators for their work. Their is crucial difference though, WeKu is going to make the reward system dynamic, unlike Steem. This means that the rewards can be adjusted at depending on the community.

Since the Weku is about different communities getting together, thus the reward system could be adjusted at the community level and can differ from community to community. This phrase from their whitepaper indicates that:

"customizable incentive mechanism for the creators of the communities will be provided to support the variable scenarios and growth stages of the communities"

In Philippines, south of Manila, there is a popular island resort known as Boracay. The famous destination is popular among holiday seekers and attract up to 2 million visitors a year, bring in more than a billion dollars worth in tourism tickets. The beach and clear sea water as well as a hosts of top hotels and resorts were ranked highly in Asian top destinations.

However, this proved to be its downfall. As it became more and more popular, flooded with tourists all over the way to the beach, the island is now heavily polluted. The problem is mainly blamed on the local government for failure to enforce marine conservation, garbage and sanitation.

Business like hotels and resorts are dumping their waste into local canals which primary purpose is to collect rainwater and irrigation. These illegal dumping are causing serious sewage problems and the island is now full of dumps and garbage. These resulted in low hygiene and high contamination of usable water.

Earlier this year, the Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte had enough of it and ordered a 6 months closure of the whole island to fix sewage and environment-related problems. The president is calling Boracay a "cesspool". "You go into the water, it's smelly. Smells of what? Sh*t," he had said.

Boracay, among many other popular destinations around the world, is being ruined due to its popularity. Much education need to be imparted to tourists and local businesses to be responsible in maintaining the local resources for a continuous growth.

Hello Eagle42 How are you? Thanks for the very good question. The answer is "because of become popular or famous only human are ruined by themselves.

I will show you two example of this.

Diego Armando Maradona. One of the legend of football world. The winning captain of Argentina on 1986 world cup. The legendary magician of hand of god. He was so famous that he didn't think of looking back ever. But what he had done? Abused his life with drug. Ruined his fame and love from millions of fans.

Nasir Hossein and Sabbir Rahman. Two promising and rising cricket players in Bangladesh. Huge popularity and money made then blind. Now both of them are accused with scandals of many female company. They have broken team rules and regulations. Now both of them are past for Bangladesh cricket team.

One more to say. In  our country when anything comes new in market the producing company keep the quality 100% to get the popularity. But when the product become popular then then ruin the quality. May be it happens in most of the countries in the world.

These are the practical example for you. Human are fame collector and they are the one who ruin everything.

Thanks for reading.

Do we live in a computer simulation?

Is life like a video game? How do you know that reality is what we think it is? We could live in a computer simulation.

For years there has been an idea circulating among scientists and enthusiasts that our world is not really real.  Some suggest that this is a simulation in which we live controlled by another being as if we were toys, while others claim to have proof that reality is, in fact, a hologram.  Let's review the ideas of those who think it's possible for us to live in a matrix.

We live in a world that, in fact, is a life simulation, created by a "programmer," who controls everything we do as if we were the characters in the Sims game, says Rich Terrile, director of the Center for Evolutionary Computing and Automated Design at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory.

The scientist thinks that the fact that we are not computer models cannot be demonstrated, since "reality is the product of a complex architecture that appeared outside of human consciousness. Terrile therefore suggests the idea that our world would behave just like the reality of the 'Grand Theft Auto' adventure and driving video game.

The idea is not new, since in 2003 philosopher Nick Bostrom suggested that we live in a simulation modeled and regulated by our descendants, that is, from the future. Bostrom and other writers postulate that there are empirical reasons why the simulation hypothesis might be valid. According to his proposal, a future civilization would have such an enormous computing capacity that our descendants could with their developed technologies run a simulation of ancestors. However, the scientist does not explain why these "programmers" would be modeling reality.

In turn, Silas Beane, nuclear physicist at the University of Washington, expands on this idea, affirming that the "simulators" that control our universe can also be simulations, something like "a dream within a dream".

Another idea that is gaining strength is that of holograms. Last week, a group of scientists announced that they had succeeded in demonstrating the "holographic principle," a conjecture about the theories of quantum gravity proposed in 1993 by Gerard 't Hooft. The idea postulates that the universe does not have a three-dimensional space, but that it has a two-dimensional structure similar to a hologram, the projection of which is reflected in an immensely large cosmic horizon.

We will have to wait a little to prove it, or we keep on living and forget about it or we go crazy trying to understand it.

The theory that we live in simulations is logically possible, but I can't believe we're living in simulations, If today's scientists can create computer simulations that produce "awareness", then the possibility that we live in simulations will be even greater. So far, computer experts have succeeded in creating programs that can defeat humans in certain cases or problems as is commonly found in sports games on computers. Even so, there are no programs that have been successfully simulated approaching human thoughts and feelings.

The best way to improve your skills is to learn from the best. Watch tutorials, write down the new things that you learn and don't watch too much without first practicing.

The key is writing down a few tips, then going out and practicing what you learned. Then, when you're sure that you've mastered those aspects, go back to writing down more tips and practicing more.

Soon enough, you'll be much, much better than when you started. :) This also works for many other skills, not just for photography. But photography is particularly easy to improve if you own a good camera, because there are many professional photographers on Youtube who make guides for free.

1. learn to be patient

Especially when dealing with landscape photography or travel. You need to wait to get good weather, or a specific sun position. If only this patience is trained continuously, the possibility of getting good results is getting bigger.

2. Find a unique perspective

Sometimes, interesting photos come from an interesting perspective. Subjects that are cliché can even be made interesting with unique and creative angles. Try shooting with ground level (or frog eye) rather than eye level, use the stairs to get extreme angles, and many other ways. Also learn the various angles that might be done.

3 Start using a tripod

The use of a tripod is not only to keep the camera "steady" so as to produce sharp photos, but there are other hidden advantages. By using a tripod, you are "forced" to work more carefully. You will need time to get the right composition, and will think more. With a tripod, you can also experiment with long exposure techniques. Some tripods are expensive, but learning doesn't need to be too sophisticated.

4. Break your habits

Most of us have certain habits in taking pictures: the subjects we usually take, the time we choose, location, composition, to post-production workflows. Try occasionally breaking the habit so you know new things and try new things. Maybe new things actually improve your weaknesses. For example, if you always take pictures in the morning, try the afternoon. Maybe you are even more "familiar" with orange light.

5. Request input / criticism

The key to improving yourself is getting input from others. You can do this by asking the opinions of friends and family, what they like / dislike from your photos. Currently, there are also many mediums to get feedback from people, one of which is through Fotokita.net.

6 take pictures, take pictures, and keep taking pictures

You will never be able to improve yourself if you are lazy to take pictures. So, take pictures often.

There are many lovely photography video tutorials that

you can find on youtube or even instagram or some

photography blogs,,this tutorials will teach you how to become a professional photographer and sharpen your

photography skills,,and you need to understand that practice makes perfect so you need to continue to

practice what you have learnt so that you can become more professional as a photographer....

  • Look at a lot of great photos that you like. Especially in the subject that you are into yourself, but also other photography subjects.
  • Try to "reverse engineer" these photos that you see and like. Try to see what lens was used, what diagram, was it over- or underexposed, which lighting was used, and where was it placed,...
  • Practice A LOT!!!
  • Look at the results of your practice with a very critical eye
  • Show your pictures to other people, preferably to people you know look critical. Or, have your pictures critiqued online.

Thanks for mentioning me.

Oh wow, I'm there. How did you make this list?

Based on my experience using tinder, most are only looking for DTF (down to fuck).  They are not really looking for friends to have a coffee with or a chit chat.  Some are using tinder to find companion while visiting the town during their travel. However, of course it often leads to bedroom talk.

Most I know are also using tinder to promote their instagram to gain more followers. Not to mention, there's a thing called digital prostitution. Think about non conventional ways of prostitution without a third party.

If you're looking for a meaningful friendship and conversation, tinder just isn't the place. But if you're looking for one night stand, that's the option you can have and optimize for use.

4 unique and interesting facts about Tinder that I met:

1. No All men or women in Tinder are single

Some of them are married and actually even have children.

2. There are also those who use Tinder to ... sell insurance.

3. Not all are looking for a partner in Tinder, but some are looking for a partner for their best friend.

4. Never believe in those who exhibit as small as possible.

It's a cool thing in theory, but in reality it's not such a nice place. Everyone is looking for one-night stands and it's hard to talk to people. I personally don't like it but many of my friends love it.

It's not the best place but I've met really good friends and people who I really appreciate

Firstly, depression can not really be treated. Not real, neurological depression. People who suffer from this have a different brain chemistry than others, and it can be impossible for others to understand that our brains simply will not allow themselves to become "fixed". Sure, there are pills; but those are just evil and I would never suggest someone with psychological issues to go down that path; having been down it myself. From a personal standpoint, the only real treatment is to surround yourself with caring people and try your hardest to ignore the part of your brain telling you to die. From the opposite standpoint, I think empathy is the best help you can give someone suffering from depression.

"Let me know if you need anything" or "if you want to talk" are very nice statements and gestures. But they do not do much for those of us battling this illness. We're aware that there are suicide hotlines, depression phone lines, psychiatrists, therapists; but talking isn't what helps. Instead, a more appropriate way to help your friends would be to just be around them. Go hang out with them. Invite them to do whatever you're doing. *Involve* them and give them distractions from their own worst enemy; their own brain.

In terms of signs and symptoms; that's a tricky one. There are a lot of people who suffer from depression that may never open up about it. It's rare, but it does happen. I think a good tool is to look for the signs and symptoms yourself on your friends' faces. You can pick up a lot from facial features and body language; if your friend seems like they have a lot on their mind, withdrawing themselves from conversation at random points and changing general facial expressions when doing so.. they might be depressed. And they might not. But it doesn't hurt to ask.

Having suffered from depression for a long time and having witnessed many friends go through it, and seeing all the possible outcomes, it's a topic very important to me. If you'd like to discuss it more please let me know.

What are your views about corruption in Africa?

what are your views most especially in Nigeria

Corruption in Africa is now a house hold stuff, its just like a normal thing which ought not to be so, bribery nepotism, robbery, corrupt-leaders wickedness and so on have tarnished Africa's image bringing it to shambles and also keeping the continent into a backward state.

Corruption employs and increases poverty and exclusion. In other ways corrupt individuals with political power enjoy and live a lavish life, permit me to say that millions of Africans are deprived of their basic needs like food, health, education, housing, access to clean water, good roads, electricity and sanitation.” and I think something should be done about it

What is your opinion about the entertainment industry of Bollywood?

Please write your honest opinion on Bollywood and how it may have affected the mindset of the young

Bollywood is the largest film industry in the world, the main difference of it with hollywood is bollywood puts many songs in the movies to express feelings. It has so many world famous movies like 3 idiots bahubali atc. The bollywood has the second richest actor Shah Rukh Khan & it produces more movies in a year than any other film industries in the world. The bollywood is located in In bombay ( now Mumbai ) city which is called maya nagri or city of love. The unique style of romance of Bollywood movies is unbeatable. It has some family drama, action thrill, comedy, Romantic blockbusters.

Overall, bollywood is a great entertainment industry who expresses our life, happiness, sadness through the movies and makes our days more entertaining.

I don't know much about it. I've heard that they get ridiculous sometimes with the dancing. I wouldn't know.

Before, I thought that one of my favourite movies, Slumdog Millionaire, was made there, but I read later that it's a British film. There is also Lucia, which I thought was made in Bollywood too, but it's not either. So it turns out that even though I thought I was watching Bollywood movies, I really wasn't, so I would say that Bollywood hasn't ever touched my life.

1. Unhealthy habits Skin health is strongly influenced by daily living habits. Bad habits such as smoking, drinking coffee and alcohol, stress, to lack of sleep, will make the skin drier. Dry skin is one of the markers of premature aging, because in the productive age human skin actually still has a good texture. But these bad habits make the skin cells become damaged, and the skin becomes drier, because the skin is unable to capture and retain water in the skin layer.

2. Environmental environmental effects can also have a bad influence on your skin. For example, too often in air-conditioned rooms, dirty air, pollution, to solar radiation. "But the most 'evil' is radiation.

3. Age The process of aging or aging will begin in the 20s, but the skin will still be able to balance and inhibit this aging process. The skin will reduce its ability to produce new skin cells when it is over the age of 30 years.

4. Genetic "In the case of premature aging, there are also people who experience this problem because of heredity," he said. The "aging" gene carried in a person will allow him to grow old before his time. Conversely, there are those who have heredity to look youthful.

5. Physical and health conditions Skin is one of the physical markers that stand out when the body experiences health problems. "When the body is sick, the effect will immediately be seen on the skin, for example, become dull and not radiant," said Eddi. If the skin is not treated properly after experiencing pain, the skin will become more problematic and damaged.

6. Self-care Although you will experience skin aging problems, but to reduce the impact of damage prematurely, you need to do treatment early. "Proper self-care according to skin needs will make the skin healthy and beautiful.

cause of a guideline on the human body

Exposure to sunlight without protection

Ultraviolet (UV) rays emitted from the sun can damage the elastic tissue of the skin. As a result, the skin becomes easily wrinkled prematurely. Not only that, often exposed to sunlight can also trigger the production of brown-colored aging spots on the face, hands, and other areas of the body that are often exposed to sunlight.

In addition to premature aging, sunlight can make the skin black and increase the risk of skin cancer.

In order to avoid the danger of sunlight, you can use a sunscreen with a minimum SPF level of 15 every time before activities outdoors. It is advisable to wear it from 11.00 to 15.00, either in hot or cloudy weather.

You can get more protection by combining sunscreen with other skin protectors, such as wide-brimmed hats, umbrellas, sunglasses, or loose clothing that covers the skin.

Smoke

Not only does it have a negative impact on health, smoking can also affect your appearance. Smokers experience premature aging because of damage to body tissues by toxic substances in cigarettes, and blood circulation to the face. This will accelerate the appearance of wrinkles and make it look clearer, and the facial tone becomes dull.

So, if you want to stay young longer, stop smoking.

Eating excessive alcoholic beverages

Alcoholic beverages are proven to cause premature aging of the skin. This is not much different from the effects of smoking, which is due to damage to skin tissue due to the effects of free radicals. This effect will be more quickly seen if you are often exposed to UV light, excessive stress, and not maintaining a good diet.

In addition, alcohol can also reduce levels of vitamin A, vitamin B3, and vitamin C, in the body. These three vitamins are antioxidants that are important for regenerating new cells.

In addition to avoiding premature aging of the skin, stopping the habit of drinking alcoholic beverages also aims to avoid the negative effects on the body.

Bad diet

Diet also affects the condition of your skin. Foods with poor nutrition can cause premature aging. One mechanism is to cause chronic inflammation in the body, for example by the trans fats contained in your food. Some examples of foods that can trigger premature aging are refined carbohydrates (eg bread or pasta), and foods that contain too much sugar. Both types of food can damage collagen in the skin.

Other types of food that should be limited include fried foods, sweet cakes, fast food, and fatty meats. Conversely, multiply the consumption of antioxidant-rich foods. Antioxidants are found in nuts, wine, various berries, broccoli, carrots, green tea and whole grains.

Lack of sleep

Sleep deprivation or poor sleep quality not only adversely affects health, but can also lead to premature aging of the skin. Research shows that people who have chronic sleep disorders are more at risk of developing skin disorders, including premature aging. Sleep deprivation can affect a person's appearance so it looks less fresh.

Being kind is to simply accept, no human is higher or better than others no matter how rich you are. Being kind is knowing that the table might turn around any day. Being kind is knowing that there's karma. What you sow you shall reap. Treat others how you want to be treated because even the important ones don't look important.

There was a day, I made a mistake on my loan application form. I didn't know until I left the bank. So, I quickly rushed back to the desk of the customer care officer to edit my application. Ordinarily, the office closes by 5:00 pm, but I got there by 4:50 pm. The lady was about to leave so I begged for her to allow me edit my application, but she refused and said she was done for the day. I tried to explain how much it will cost me to come back the next, but she didn't want to hear my story. She boldly told me to come back the next day while she was busy with her makeup.

I went out of the bank with annoyance, and returned the following day. Fast forward to few months later. I work in a juice manufacturing company so I helped most of my friends to buy directly from the company at a better and cheaper rate. I received a call from my friend that her friend wants me to help her buy some products, and when I made enquiries on who the person was, it happened to be that same customer care lady from the bank. At first, I didn't want to help, but I decided to let go. After, helping her with the products, she apologised for her behaviour at the bank.

Life is a stage. When you know and understand fee things about life, it becomes very easy to be kind to everyone around and even to yourself. .

These are the ways to change yourself to be better and more interesting than before:

1. Learn to appreciate and respect others

There is no one who likes those who are ignorant and can't respect others. We live in a social media era that is full of dynamics and interaction, pausing to exaggerate yourself, Give honest and pure appreciation to others, imagine what kind of comments / praise can make your heart flower? Now do that to others.

2. Learn to find passion in your actions

there are 2 ways to live your passion in life:

You work on your passion and make it your main job (passion paid), You do other work and from there you can pay for your passion. Indeed, not all passion can make money, but it never hurts to live working / doing business outside of your passion.

3. Learn to be creative

Chase your intuition, fill your curiosity, life is broader than just working every day from 8-5 and taking care of your family, We are often taught that the world has gone like that and we only need to live it well without having to fight the current / rules, have a good family life, have fun, and save for the future.

4. Don't be negative or pessimistic

If you bring pessimism to others, if you make other people feel tired, depressed, hopeless, negative.

5. Make others happier and more useful

Bill Gates once said: "As we look ahead into the next century, leaders will be those who empower others",

Being Good is one of the main ways to give meaning to our lives and others. here I summarize some ways to be good to yourself for you...

#do good to yourself

allows you to understand things that cause you pain and disappointment, and allows you to accept your contradictions and inconsistencies. This gives you the heart to handle things about yourself that you don't like. In turn, recognizing yourself will help prevent you from showing your negative side to others, thus allowing you to treat others with love and kindness. In this way, your inner anxiety is handled by funds instead of aggravating your need to project hurt and hurt feelings. Take Time to be more self-conscious and use it to be more generous to yourself (remembering that we all have weaknesses) and to others. With this way,

# a way to do good to others;

Try to practice being kind and generous to others. Unaccustomed to, embarrassed, or not knowing how to reach other people can only be overcome by doing it,

by always trying until it becomes a natural urge to be kind and generous to others Don't be selfish. The greatest good attitude does not expect anything, without conditions, and does not require rewards for what is done or said.

Being kind to yourself means that we are doing something wrong, failing, or feeling inadequate when we fail. We treat ourselves with ourselves if, if a good friend, who has a lot of value to us, comes to us with these emotions, we will deal with that friend. How careful we are to comfort her! We treat him with joy and be with him! We support him not to lose hope that we will remind him that we will understand what moments he experiences and experiences, but at the same time we remind him that the world has not come to an end and can still New to start. Now it has more experience than before.

Those who are kind to themselves, when they fail, can quickly squeeze themselves down again to challenge. These people know that spending energy on self-criticizing themselves is just a waste of their energy.

Many people say we do not know how to be kind and we do not know how to speak and how to talk in a calm and warm tone so that we can give a mentality to someone who is dear to us. What can we do to ourselves! But the good news is that this skill is acquired, and anyone can practice by practicing how to be friendly with oneself and others.

Talk to yourself with a nice tone. Put your hand on your heart and hug yourself. Tell yourself what you say to a good friend. Tell me ((I'm so sad that you have such a disturbance, I know you have difficult moments, what do you do to do it?))

Step One: Practice as much as you can talk with others in a calm and kind voice. Talk to yourself and be your own.

Step Two: Do not forget that all humans are incomplete and have incomplete lives. What's your fault, what not! This is a principle, and you are not an exception to it, and it is a falsehood to reach perfection.

Step Three: You must embrace your feelings and never run away from them. We have to face ourselves to solve the first problems. Ask yourself how I know you're having trouble, but how can I help you out of the predicament that Toshi is going through? The first thing you need to do after making a mistake or error is to be honest with yourself and be kind to your embrace. It means that your feelings are important and you are entitled to torture yourself in this difficult situation and do not blame yourself for this error. The torment is part of every human's life, and many others are experiencing the same emotions as you experienced in difficult circumstances.

Learn yourself first to be kind yourself!
