Harvest Time - Show Us Your California

in #mycalifornia4 months ago

Hi friends,

This post is an entry into the weekly Show Us Your California contest hosted by @thesocalhive where we share an aspect of our California.

The region of Southern California that I live in has a history of citrus growth in the early settlement days in the area. Now a days, there is much less agriculture, and more housing, but many people grow their own items at their house. I took a walk, and here are some of the items that are currently ready to be harvested:

These pomegranates were way high up - will be difficult to pick harvest them without large extended poles!

I didn’t see any avocados, but those are also being picked right now and some of our friends have given a bunch to us.

Thanks for coming by and checking out a piece of my California.

Wow, those are a lot. If you are just smacking them with long poles, you can buy fruit picking poles instead.

Thanks for showing us a piece of your California, it's natural and amazing. Those citrus fruits look real good, I'm sure they will taste great. Have a nice week.

The pictures are really nice
I love the fruits
Nice one!

Oranges are very good for our good health

After reaching this, i want to go to garden and pluck these oranges by my own hand and eat them there fresh.

That’s awesome, my uncles had a nice array of fruit trees when I was growing up. Not citrus though they can’t handle it here. A few different apple trees, a pear tree, two cherry trees and tons of fig bushes and grape vines galore.

Wow! I didn't expect that pomegranate grows there.

This is the most delicious fruit for me because it provides both protein and strength but it is very tasty at the time of season.

looks delicious
