RE: Pasteli- Ancient Greek Candy Bars

These would be a hit in Cambodia, lots of similar snacks there. I honestly didn't Greek cuisine even made use of sesame seeds, so this is a pleasant surprise. I bet these things are delicious. Thanks for sharing this with us and participating in the challenge.

Random factoid, my tiny little farmtown back in the USA had/has a Greek candy shop for years and years, one of the oldest businesses in town. When I was a kid, the place had already fallen out of good times, and the guy let his cats roam all over the place, closed the place to the public, and supposedly sold only online. This place is where Dave Thomas got the idea for Wendy's, as the story goes, because in the place's prime it had burgers, milkshakes, etc, and was the hopping place in town.

That's a funny story, so Wendy's roots are actually Greek! 😃
Pasteli supposed to be on the menu of Greeks and in Middle East already about 6000 years ago and it's simplicity works amazing. 😋
