Our body performs numerous functions and processes every second when we are alive. Each and every body parts internal or external have their roles to perform . The skin of our body, the tissues , the bones, the cartilages,blood,enzymes,acids and so on and so forth perform their roles in such a coordinated and synchronous manner that we cannot even imagine how perfectly the nature has designed our body.It's beyond imagination to achieve such perfection for us.We love our body,pamper it,take pride no matter what,when we are alive.Whether we are awake or asleep our body continuously work and never stops functioning.But what happens when we die?The body still has to perform a lot of functions and processes to decays the dead body and completely convert it to soil.Do you want to know what they are and how the whole process take place.Here it is,
The cells of our body are not dead as soon as we die.The body looses temperature around 1.5 degree celsius after every hour till it attains room temperature.This is called as ALGOR MORTIS.
After few hours, heart stops functioning, which causes the blood in the whole body to get deposited on the back side of our body due to gravity,which results all muscles to become tensed and our whole body becomes stiff.This take place within 3 to 7 hours after the death.This is called as RIGOR MORTIS.
After 7 hours of person's death, all oxygen in the body turns to carbon dioxide which causes rise in PH level.Due to the rise in PH level,cellular membrane of the body will become weak.As it becomes weak it will break and CYTOSOL will come out. Cytosol is a component of cytoplasm which keep all the cell component suspended at one place. Cytosol contains proteins and enzymes which decomposes things near it.
There are almost 100 trillion bacteria which also helps in the further breakdown of the dead body.The ANAEROBIC bacteria which helps in digestion of consumed food by us, resides in gastrointestinal track.Although it now performs different function altogether after death.Now it start eating the body itself and this process is called PUTREFACATION.
Now, the anaerobic bacteria while eating the dead body breaks them into amino acids as a result there is a release of foul gases which attracts insects.Now, these insects lay eggs on the body and the eggs develops within one day into larva and maggots.These larva and maggots eat the remains until they mature .This causes holes in the remaining dead body.These holes make a easy passage for the gases and fluids to come out and escape.
After 30 to 50 days a process starts, where beetle larva,protozoa and some other creatures further decompose the carcass of the dead body.This process could take a time of 1 year also.The hot temperature helps the process to complete quickly.Now,the remains of the dead body will either be eaten by animals or might be absorbed by the plants.Only skeleton will remain and that will also decompose further to reach its ultimate fate and that is soil. Everything will turn into soil.
I have shared this with everyone through my post, as i was completely amazed to know how well everything is planned by our nature. Its amazing the way everything proceeds and reaches to its final place where it belong and how everything come together to make it happen.
