Walkers On The South Downs Way
The South Downs Way is one of 15 National Trails in England and Wales. It is a long distance footpath and bridleway running in southern England.
Most of it is on the high chalk downland of the Hampshire Downs and the South Downs.
The easternmost section is on high chalk cliffs.
It runs from Winchester in Hampshire, the first capital of England, for 100 miles (160 km) to the white chalk cliffs at Eastbourne in East Sussex. It has about 13,620 ft (4,150 m) of ascent and descent.

Along the South Downs Way you will experience attractive wildlife, prehistory such as the chalk Long Man of Wilmington and Chanctonbury Ring, inviting pubs and pretty villages.
As if that wasn't enough you will also see beautiful vista after beautiful vista such as this one which includes a stunning windswept tree. 😁

I love being out in the country where fences and walls add character to a scene and nit as they often do in more urban areas detract from it
