Blog 2018-02-18: Muddy adventures and the rainbow at the unreachable waterfall

in #nature6 years ago (edited)

Come with us to the unreachable waterfall and see many photos from our latest adventure. Because every day is an adventure somehow!

I borrowed Priscilla's(@yidneth) hat a bit heheh mmmm cool! :-D

We didn't plan the route the day before, but we decided to go out and get some fresh air, even it looked it was going to rain. I thought to go to a natural spring that must be full of water, because last time we went during the summer and it was all dry.

Unfortunately, the site was closed to the public because they are doing works as it is dangerous due to landslides. It doesn't matter, because there were two beautiful ponies there. We have to improve a new plan then. Let's see if we can go to a hidden waterfall that is close.

There is a dark sky, but some breaks in the clouds make the valley full of interesting contrasts.

Along the way we can appreciate the oaks. It seems almost autumn

Por el camino podemos observar los robledales. Parece casi otoño.

I keep driving and a beautiful soft rainbow appears, and of course, we need to stop and get the cameras out again. I can't help it. It is right there where the rainbow starts, where we are going. So let's walk. Let's see what is there!

Some trees like to live to the limit.

(Photo by @yidneth) Let's keep going... there is a bit of mud.:D

(Foto por Priscilla) Sigamos. Hay un poco de barro :D

The forest in winter is also enchanting. The moss makes sure that green remains!

(photo by @yidneth) What do I look for inside this rock? This:

I love to look at the small details too.

Beautiful small details! It is all worth already. :D

¡Que bonitos detalles! Ya nos está mereciendo la pena :D

Oops... This starts to get muddy...

Oops.. Aunque esto empieza a embarrarse...

The rainbow tricked us! hahaha but it's ok.. keep going! Don't worry. I'm not showing all the cow shit.. Just mud.

We get out of the mud to get into the forest with their trees showing off their best mosses.

Did someone drop a stone here?

Mmmmm this is not looking good to reach the waterfal. I don't want to get wet. Priscilla(@yidneth) wants to take off her boots and cross, but I don't want to risk slipping with the cameras. The flow is strong. The terrain makes it impossible to go further up so we need to go down to see if we can cross from another point.

Mucho caudal y  rápido y no me apetece mojarme.

My face of ... mmm no.. I don't want to get wet today...hah  maybe another day :D

Mi cara de .... mmmm no... no me quiero mojar hoy... mejor otro día :D

Shall we try here?

  ¿Lo intentamos por aquí?

I slip and... bye bye walking stick. But I recovered it further down with a bit of luck. Let's keep going down.

This is how rivers are born in the middle of the forest.

We are not going to be able to cross. But it doesn't matter, here it is beautiful and the water keeps accelerating down the ravine. Better not to get close to the edge...

Pris... I said not too close to the edge! ay ay... :D

We take some more photos in this beautiful place.

Consolation: In our way back, we can at least see the unreachable waterfall from afar, through the forest. We didn't reach the objective, but it doesn't matter. Why? Because it is the journey what counts. Even with a lot of mud :-D It has been a fantastic afternoon, full of mud, moss, cow shit, and rainbows in the best company :-D

And remember! It is very important to tie your boots well. Ask Priscilla(@yidneth) ;)
See you in the next adventure!

Y recordad... ¡Es muy importante atarse bien las botas! Y si no, pregúntaselo a Priscilla ;)
¡Hasta la próxima aventura!

Héctor

Sort:

what a lovely hike.. keep it up guys :!!!

thank you! We will!
Greetings from another nature and sunset lover here :) Nice to find people like you here. Following

My pleasure, following you, would be waiting for more hike stories :)

Wonderful and amazing posting,beatifull..@hedac.

Thank you for your nice comment. I want to keep making these kind of blog posts of our adventures in nature :)

Lovely work @hedac, I'm pretty sure I could hear the river there :). Thank you.

thank you... :) I recorded the audio too. And have a Video log version of this but that takes more time to produce. And by the time I am finishing a video, we go on a new hike... So I need to learn to edit the videos faster hehe Photos are nice, but what I would like is to share beautiful videos eventually. My problem is I also want to compose the music for the videos... and that takes even more time... I need to find an equilibrium between what I want to do and what I can do with the time I have :)

Gr8! I know where to come now when I need a piece of music for my video introductions ;).

hehe thanks :) I think for a trader video, a more electronic up-tempo would be better... Mine will be just relaxing piano. ;) I'm thinking about uploading some to DSound.

I like to keep my trading relaxed, I couldn't handle the excitement of Wall Street :). Seems like DSound would be a good outlet for your music. If you're not in you can't win!

one day you should DLive while scalping some pips ;) That would be fun :) But I have a feeling that you are more long term trader, not scalper.
I've been very bad at sharing my music my entire life. Maybe DSound will do it and then I can't stop ;)

Yes @hedac I was thinking of doing a DLive trading session, but it can be difficult to plan an hour to trade live, as you never know what you will face when you open the charts. I do scalp sometimes, when I'm in the zone, but again difficult to know in advance. I never like to force trades as they are either there or they're not! I haven't actually scalped since I joined Steemit :), I just rely on my marked levels that I have set in advance.

Still, I may be able to come up with a way that it would work without it being too boring for anyone watching. It's just not as entertaining as a live music performance :).

I think that our poor hiking boots will remember these adventures for a little while :) hahaha. Btw, you stole my hat??! hahah but It suits you! :)

Just borrowed it! haha But I think I like it :-D
Yes poor boots... But they tid a great job :-D It was fun! here is another photo to remember ;-)
