Never get enough of the Okanagan beaches.

in #nature3 years ago

Hello, my beautiful Hive family and Happy #WednesdayWalk.

Today I would like to share our walk along the beaches of Penticton; Skaha Lake and the Okanagan Lake, while enjoying our one week holidays visting my parents in Kelowna two weeks ago.

Every time we go to Kelowna, we just have to visit Penticton, since we always loved our walks along the beach while we lived there.

We lucked out, because we almost didn't end up going, because of all the fires all around the Okanagan, but when we got there only one day was pretty smokey and then it cleared up.

This is our walk along the Skaha Lake, where Jordan also got to swim.

I must say that we always preferred swiming in the Skaha Lake, since it is more family oriented and I just think is a nicer and bigger beach, while Okanagan Lake is usually more windy and the beach is not as big or spacious, but it is surrounded by a lot of restaurants.

We also got some beach volleyball courts, some basketball courts and kids park in the Skaha Lake.

Right after Skaha lake, we got some lunch and went of to the Okanagan Lake.

From the Okanagan Lake we kept on walking until we hit the river channel, which runs from Okanagan Lake all the way to Skaha lake. This channel is very popular for tubbing, which is so awesome.

Love @joalvarez.

I am a great supporter of @familyprotection who is working very hard to help the families stay together and this project is the most amazing project that I would suggest for everyone in this hive community to check it out and support it and by doing it we are helping people in need who are trying to keep their kids safe from being taken away (kidnapped) by the Social Services. Here is the link Click here

Thank you for visiting my post. If you like it, please don't forget to Upvote, Follow, and Rehive, it is very, very appreciated. Any suggestions are always very welcome so that I can keep improving in this community.
God Bless!

Thank you @qurator and @ewkaw. Greatly appreciated.

Cool to get to see the three lakes and different feel and scenery around each one, that statue is interesting
Tubing down that channel must be fun its been a few years since I have gone tubing

Thanks for joining Wednesday Walk :), I truly enjoy exploring the world virtually each Wednesday seeing walks from all around the globe and feeling I am there and experiencing it all myself, such as I did in your post just now :)

Thank you@tattoodjay.
You are wright. Both lakes have totally different scenery which is very cool.

Tubing down the channel is the best. Usualky in the beginning of summer, the water in yhe channel is too high and strong, so its actually dangerous, and at the end of summer the water is pretty low and tubbing down the channel is actually very, very slow, so in the middle of summer is the best time to go tubbing.

👍🙂
So you have to time it well
