Endless Albertan Fields

in #nature8 years ago

Greetings from my home, Alberta!

I hope everyone had a great weekend and enough rest. I only had one day off but I can not complain because I spent that time with my dear family.

Tonight I wanted to share with you a bit of nature that is surrounding the big cities in Alberta. Whenever I take one step out of the city I can see endless fields of wheat, canola, barley and other crops.

Here are a few shots from this week.

If you live in a city, make sure to explore around and get yourself familiar with home first, before you decide to travel abroad.

You would be surprised how much beauty your home is hiding!

And I would love to see those photographs of yours.

Have a wonderful evening :)

So beautiful! I love the contrast of the gray sky and yellow canola on the last one.

Very nice, I love our Alberta scenery - kind of funny that I just posted some canola photos as well...great minds...We had heavy smoke today from the BC fires - so stayed in most of the day unfortunately. Thanks for sharing!

Yesterday was nice weather, that was when I took these photos. It has been quite bad here today as well. Hopefully the rain will help clear it out.

This is beautiful @k4r1nn. In my country, especially in the province where I live, there is no such beautiful scenery. Thank you for sharing. Greeting .@musyawirwaspada from Aceh Indonesia.

Oh thanks! I am sure you have nice scenery as well but sometimes we do not think it is because we see it all the time. I will be looking out for some when you decide to share them ;)

Maybe. I will try to search n get it n as soon as sharing with others :)

Wow! These are amazing looking fields. We have similar sceneries in my country except that our main crop is rice, and fowers are more like orchids that grow in the tropics. I've been to Toronto andfor will feature that in my travel blog here one day. I would plan on visiting Alberta soon and see these sceneries in person.

Thanks,

@steemitdoctor

I would love to see some orchids here :) Thanks! Toronto is a big city I am sure you have some great photos.

I think you make a really good point that usually beauty is not far away, we just have to open our eyes and appreciate it. These fields are really beautiful, I think there is a special feeling of these big fields, for me it sometimes feel like the sea on land, especially when the crops move slowly with the wind.

Good evening , glad u enjoyed ur day off with ur family , truly beautiful pictures thanks for sharing , nature is always around us with its glory and beauty , we just need to appreciate it enough.

Looks so wholesome! I want my bread made from that wheat from those fields! The color is amazing too. Thanks for sharing gotta get out of this city soon.

It's been like rain forests here in Ontario. Greener than any past year I remember
