☘ Nature is fascinating, isn't it? I've spent a lot of time outside the past few weeks taking care of the plants. I got to know a small, extremely popular guy from a completely new side.
Die Natur ist faszinierend, oder? Die letzten Wochen habe ich viel Zeit draußen verbracht und mich um die Pflanzen gekümmert. Dabei habe ich ein kleines, äußerst populäres Kerlchen von einer ganz neuen Seite kennengelernt.

I guess half of you already know who that is, right? He cheerfully climbed around on our thornless blackberry bush and I did some research... I was very happy with the result because it is a well-known aphid eater. There were maybe five of them, and I also found some on our little fig tree. After a few days the following happened: He stuck his butt to the leaf and stripped off his first skin while he did a little dance.
Ich schätze, die Hälfte von euch wissen bereits, wer das ist, oder? Er kletterte munter auf unserem stachellosen Brombeerstrauch herum und ich recherchierte mal..Ich habe mich sehr über das Ergebnis gefreut, denn es ist ein wohlbekannter Blattlausfresser. Es gab einige davon, vielleicht fünf Stück und auch auf unserem kleinen Feigenbäumchen wurde ich fündig. Nach ein paar Tagen passierte folgendes: Er klebte sein Hinterteil am Blatt fest, streifte seine erste Haut ab und vollführte dabei ein kleines Tänzchen.

Several minutes later the dance was over and he remained in this new position for the next days.
Etliche Minuten später war der Tanz vorüber und er begab sich für die nächste Tage unverändert in diese neue Position.

I found more of these pupa on the sturdy leaves of the fig, even more on the wall that surrounds our garden. 12 days later an empty shell stuck on the fig leaf. But then I found this funny fellow a few meters further ... (even if it's not proven that it was exactly him;))
Ich fand weitere dieser Puppen auf den stabilen Blättern der Feige, aber mehr noch auf der Mauer, die unseren Garten umgibt. 12 Tage später klebte ich auf dem Feigenblatt nur noch eine leere Hülle. Dafür fand ich ein paar Meter weiter diesen lustigen Gesellen... (auch wenn es natürlich nicht bewiesen ist, dass genau er es war ;))

I hope you like my little trip into the fauna! Probably I´ll make more posts from the garden, because it is my new passion.
Ich hoffe, ihr mögt meinen kleinen Ausflug in die Fauna! Wahrscheinlich kommt immer mal wieder etwas neues aus dem Garten, denn er ist meine neue Leidenschaft.

I believe the world of insects will bring you tons of inspiration for your artwork. The tiny "monsters" are a whole different universe of shapes.

Yes, I stalked this cutie ;) Unfortunately you can't see the process inside, it's a cocoon that breaks as soon as the bug is ready. I'd love to have a time lapse of the inside haha...
