The Great Wall of China is a series of fortification made of stone and other earth materials. It was constructed in several phases, and later joined which was eventually known as the Great Wall. Among those different parts, the most famous one is built by
Qin Shi Huang, the first Emperor of China during 220-206 BC. The main purpose of the wall is to protect the Chinese empire from nomadic herds from the far northern steppe. It is one of the Seven Wonders of the World and can be seen from the moon.

In 1979 UNESCO declared Perspolis is a World heritage site. Persepolis constructed in around 515 BC, this was the ceremonial capital of the Achaemenid Empire. Persepolis is situated 70 km of the modern city of Shiraz in Iran.

Third Petra

Petra, originally known as Raqmu or Rose city, is an ancient city located in Jordan. Established possibly in 312 BC, served as the capital of Arab Nabeteans. Petra is also known as Rose city because of the color of stone used in its structures, as an award winning writer once describe it as “one of the most precious cultural properties of man’s cultural heritage”.

In 2007, Smithsonian Magazine placed this city in one the “28 places to see Before you die”. It was discovered in 1812 by some Swiss Explorers. In 1985 Petra became a UNESCO world heritage site. Every year millions of tourist reach here and experience something they have never felt, now it’s your turn.

Fourth Easter Island

Easter Island covers roughly 64 square miles in the South Pacific Ocean, and is located some 2,300 miles from Chile’s west coast and 2,500 miles east of Tahiti. Known as Rapa Nui to its earliest inhabitants, the island was christened Paaseiland, or Easter Island, by Dutch explorers in honor of the day of their arrival in 1722. It was annexed by Chile in the late 19th century and now maintains an economy based largely on tourism. Easter Island’s most dramatic claim to fame is an array of almost 900 giant stone figures that date back many centuries. The statues reveal their creators to be master craftsmen and engineers, and are distinctive among other stone sculptures found in Polynesian cultures. There has been much speculation about the exact purpose of the statues, the role they played in the ancient civilization of Easter Island and the way they may have been constructed and transported.

That's a good idea to have some posts about places like these, really nice to see among the mostly crypto-themed feed.
Are you planning to have a blog on visiting some of them?
I've also just recently joined Steemit myself and I find the community to be really chill for the most part, however I guess you won't really be into the stuff I post about :) it's about gaming
