Come fishing with me #3 - Non solo pesca ma amore per la natura! [ENG-ITA]

Dear friends, during this fishing session at Ghost Park I had fun, I met new people and learned from their experience, I admit that the 2 most beautiful fish I took are thanks to the advice of the latter. As always this wonderful lake is a shelter for many creatures and not just for fish fauna, as you can see by continuing in the post.

Carissimi amici, durante questa sessione di pesca presso il lago Ghost Park mi sono divertito, ho conosciuto persone nuove e imparato dalla loro esperienza, ammetto che i 2 pesci più belli che ho preso sono grazie proprio ai consigli di quest'ultimi. Come sempre questo meraviglioso lago è rifugio per molte creature e non solo per la fauna ittica, come potrete vedere proseguendo nel post.

Will you ask who the kitten is? It isn't my unfortunately, but I called it Jonny, but then I realized that it was a she. :) Like so many other cats living around the lake, I suppose they are strays but they are used to receiving food from fishermen and they also find many hunting prey. For 2 days it was my bodyguard against the mice, we tightened a tacit agreement, I gave it the food to the fish and pampered and it never detached from me keeping away other unwelcome visitors. Think that the second night on my awakening it slept over my chair. It would come with me, but at home I have 3 dogs and it didn't seem right to take it away from its home

Vi chiederete chi sia il micio? Non è mio purtroppo, ma l'ho chiamato Jonny, anche se poi mi sono accorto che era una lei. :) Come tanti altri gatti vive attorno al lago, presumo siano randagi ma sono abituati a ricevere da mangiare dai pescatori e trovano sicuramente anche molte prede da cacciare. Per 2 giorni è stata la mia guardia del corpo contro i topi, abbiamo stretto un tacito accordo, io gli davo il mangime al pesce e coccole e lei non si è mai staccata da me tenendo distanti altri visitatori poco graditi. Pensate che la seconda notte al mio risveglio dormiva sopra la mia sedia. Sarebbe venuta via con me, ma a casa ho 3 cani e non mi sembrava giusto portarla via da casa sua.

Returning to the fishing, me and my associate Simon hoped better after the drop in temperatures, we catch 13 fishes in about 48 hours, not many but the sizes were good. Although we could have done better with more effort, but we also needed some relaxation and we took it easy. Occasionally it takes.

Tornando alla pesca, io e il mio socio Simone speravamo meglio dopo il calo delle temperature, abbiamo preso 13 pesci circa in 48 ore, non sono molti ma le taglie erano buone. Anche se con più di impegno avremmo potuto far meglio, ma avevamo bisogno anche di fare un po' di relax e ce la siamo presa comoda. Ogni tanto ci vuole.

Unfortunately my best catches were made overnight and without professional equipment to do the shots, better than that I couldn't do. Some people put the fish on a sack and keep it in the water until the morning to make better photos. I don't approve of this choice because in the bag the fish has difficulty breathing and suffers, you have to take the picture right away and release immediately.

Purtroppo le mie catture migliori sono avvenute durante la notte e senza attrezzatura professionale per fare gli scatti, meglio di così non potevo fare. C'è chi mette il pesce su una sacca e lo tiene in acqua fino alla mattina per fare foto migliori. Io non approvo questa scelta perché nella sacca il pesce fatica respirare e soffre, si deve fare la foto subito e rilasciare immediatamente.

Simone was lucky, his catches took place in the day and in this beautiful lake the pictures are always wonderful.

Simone è stato fortunato, le sue catture sono avvenute di giorno e in questo splendido lago le foto risultano sempre meravigliose.

I didn't think but the night was very cold, fortunately we are well equipped and on our bivy we are safe. This is a special tent, unlike the classics, it is designed to withstand extreme weather, I had already test it in the downpours and strong wind and inside I had no problem.

Non pensavo ma la notte è stata molto fredda, per fortuna siamo ben attrezzati e sulla nostra bivy siamo al sicuro. Si tratta di una tenda speciale, a differenza delle classiche è progettata per resistere al tempo estremo, mi sono già ritrovato sotto diluvi e vento forte e al suo interno non ho avuto nessun problema.

As I waited for the fish eat my bait, I noticed this bird, I just didn't know what it was, I approached and it was not frightened by me, so I managed to make these nice shots. In the end I sent the pictures to my dad that he knows more about me on the birds and said that it is a cormorant.

Mentre aspettavo che il pesce mangiasse, ho notato questo uccello, subito non sapevo di cosa si trattasse, mi sono avvicinato e lui non si è minimamente scomposto, così sono riuscito a fare questi bei scatti. Alla fine ho mandato le foto a mio padre che sui volatili ne sa più di me e ha detto che si tratta di un cormorano.
