Travis Kalanick resigns as Uber CEO

in #news7 years ago

Travis Kalanick resigned as the CEO of the cab-hailing service UBER on Tuesday. He was forced to step down by the investors who are looking for a new leadership.

Five UBER investors demanded his resignation, this included Benchmark-one of the biggest shareholders in the transport giant.

The details on this issue is kept confidential but Travis continues on the board of directors of UBER.

"I love Uber more than anything in the world, and at this difficult moment in my personal life, I have accepted the investors request to step aside so that Uber can go back to building rather than be distracted with another fight," Kalanick said after his resignation.

Wow I knew he was taking a small break but didn't know it was leading up to this! Sad to see all these Silicon Valley CEOs forced to step down from the company they played a major part in. Great post!
