A teenager from Melbourne, Australia, claimed to be attacked by a mysterious little sea creature that eats meat at his feet on a beach at the weekend. He was then rushed to the hospital and still hospitalized on Monday, August 7, 2017.
As reported by Channel News Asia on Monday (07/08/2017), 16-year-old Sam Kanizay complained of pain in the foot after playing football on Saturday, August 5 last. He then decided to soak his feet at Dendy Street Beach in Brighton, Melbourne.
Half an hour later when he was about to leave, his legs were covered with something his family called a small "leg-eater" sea creature. Sam's father, Jarrod Kanizay, told local media that his son's legs were bleeding as he walked to the beach.
"When she is wearing shoes, she sees her legs bleed, they (mysterious creatures) eat meat through Sam's skin and make her legs bleed," Jarrod said.
Sam then rushed to the nearest hospital for early treatment.
As soon as we release the mysterious creature, they continue to bleed. Blood is on the floor, "Jarrod said.
"Nobody knows what they are, they call some people, whether they're poison experts, oceanographers and other medical personnel around Melbourne, nobody knows what it is."
Ignorance about the mysterious creatures that injured his son, pushed Jarrod back to the shore to find out. Armed with fresh meat and wet clothes, he also managed to capture some creatures suspected of being sea lice.
Until now not known for sure the cause of Sam's injury. Local governments can not act much on the issue.
