Musks CEO Position Up for Grabs in Twitter Poll Cast Your Vote Now

The Twitter poll is now underway to find out who will fill Elon Musk's vacant CEO position at SpaceX. Whether you agree with his decision or not, there is one thing you should know: if you vote for the CEO candidate, you'll also be helping decide which tech startup will move forward with the latest round of funding.

MySpace co-founder's response to Musk's question about stepping down as head of the social media platform

If you're a social media fan, you've probably heard about Twitter's CEO Elon Musk and his stance on the matter. He's called for a change in leadership. He's sparked an online backlash, and has been accused of sex-bashing, hate speech, and mini-sub rescues.

In an effort to make his case, he's created a series of polls on Twitter. The latest asked whether he should step down from his role as the social networking site's chief executive. It got more than 15 million votes in total, with around 58 percent voting in favor of letting Twitter's users decide his fate.

As a side note, the most important part of the Twitter's Twitter gizmo was the poll itself. The most popular response was that Musk should resign, but he's yet to actually do so.

Tom Anderson, one of the founders of MySpace, replied to Musk's tweet. He didn't get all gung-ho about his own role as a Twitter spokesman, though.

Trump's re-election

Donald Trump has been banned from Twitter for nearly two years, but a new poll suggests that he might want to come back. In the poll, most users supported the idea. The poll was conducted by Twitter's new boss, Elon Musk.

Elon Musk, CEO of SpaceX and Tesla, purchased Twitter last month. Since then, he has fired a number of senior executives and announced sweeping changes to Twitter's moderation and verification system. A number of users have complained that Twitter has become too restrictive on freewheeling speech.

The results of a poll conducted by Twitter's new boss, Elon Mush, show that nearly half of respondents support the return of former President Donald Trump to Twitter. The poll, which closed Saturday night, asked voters whether they think he should be allowed to re-enter the social media platform. The final tally was 52% to 48% in favor of the reinstatement of the account.

As of Saturday, over 8 million people had voted in the poll. It received over one million votes per hour. The poll, which asked the question, "Should former President Donald Trump be reinstated to Twitter?", has a margin of error of plus or minus 2.6 percentage points.

Russia's influence on U.S. politics

Russian president Vladimir Putin has been aggressively seeking to influence U.S. politics for many years. His actions include promoting narratives to sow division, using military force, and even supporting mercenary forces that have been deployed to sub-Saharan Africa.

Russia also has laws targeting civil society groups, journalists, and activists. These laws are meant to stifle dissent. The Russian government has even tried to recruit Carter Page, a former foreign policy adviser to the Trump campaign.

A group called the Internet Research Agency (IRA) ramped up its efforts in the United States during the election. Its members created right-wing conspiracy theories and memes aimed at undermining support for Democratic candidates.

The Senate Select Committee on Intelligence released a new report today on Russia's use of social media. The report is a part of a bipartisan investigation into the interference of Russia in the 2016 presidential election.

The State Department released a diplomatic cable on Monday that contains "talking points" on alleged Russian interference in the election. It recommended travel bans, covert financing, and the release of a State Department reward of $10 million for information on Russian-based "troll farms."

According to the State Department, a Russian troll farm operated out of St. Petersburg promoted rallies in swing states and spread false messages on social media.

Tweeting about bringing back Vine

Elon Musk has tweeted that he's interested in bringing back Vine. However, the app's code needs a lot of work. There haven't been any updates to it in more than five years. In order to bring it back, engineers may need to make changes to the API, or rewrite the app.

Vine launched in 2013 and was a short-form video app. It allowed users to share six-second looping videos. After a few months, Instagram and TikTok entered the market, taking away the attention from Vine. In 2016, Vine was shut down.

Axios reported that Twitter's engineering teams are working on Vine's code. It "needs a lot of work," according to one Twitter employee.

A poll conducted by Elon Musk on his Twitter account shows that a majority of his followers want to see Vine revived. The poll has already received over 2.8 million votes, and the results are expected to grow.

In order to get a broader response, Elon Musk has asked his 112 million followers to vote in a poll. Over 2.8 million votes have been cast so far, with 69.4% of the voters saying yes.
