The Trump administration is planning on later this week amping up the failed war on pot, a policy that will target minorities, cause increased strain on local police, and trumping federalism in the process.
The Democrats meanwhile are planning on releasing a plan to make the $15 minimum wage (an act that has failed everywhere it's been implemented), to be the center piece of their agenda.
Noticed I used a word twice. Because that's what these two parties are...failures. Failures on ideas, on execution, and the idea of liberty. This why trust in the government is at a record low. American's hate failures.
There's got to be a way to message this failure without sending people cowering into their Republican/Democrat corners to spout talking points which don't pass logical muster.

Great piece, I only differ on the statement that the war on pot targets minorities. The war on pot targets everyone, ultimately minorities will probably be disproportionately affected by this but I don't think this is the goal of the bill. Back when the war on plants began there was no denying that is was racially motivated but nowadays I fail to see the connection. Either way, great read.
