This is what I wrote in response to all of the allegations coming out, especially the Roy Moore allegations.
While there may not be a statute of limitations how do you prove something that happened 40 years ago when the evidence is gone within several hours? Right now we have a story about how he left a message in a yearbook that he claims to have never written, even if he did, it's not unbelievable that he has forgotten her, the restaurant and the note that he wrote.
All of these cases are tragic, for either the person assaulted or the person who is charged with assault depending upon the truth of the case. In America today though, we ARE SUPPOSED to be innocent until proven guilty and we also cannot say that the assault victims are lying without becoming a pariah ourselves.
What's truly sad about these cases is that what makes you guilty or the case questionable depends upon the suspects political affiliation.
MANY liberals think Bill Cosby was railroaded that those many, many, many women were lying, every single one of them. Today, I don't see ANYTHING on my feed about him. Simply because he isn't running for office??
Yet Roy Moore has three or four accusers, in forty years and people are ready to crucify him.....I'm not a Roy Moore fan. I think that he'll use his religion as a litmus test over and above the Constitution in some legislation, but when does this end?
Sadly, truly sadly, in America MOST of us think that you're innocent until proven guilty unless it comes to sex assault/rape and child abuse.......
I don't know the answer here. These stories are going to BLOW UP within the next year, we've just seen the tip of the iceberg. I think there are going to be so many accusations within the next year that the news will be like a dying soldier in Afghanistan....Just a 15 second blurb on the national news. "And today, another sex assault claim against <insert personality here> was lodged. In 1973, he supposedly touched her in a crowded elevator heading to the tourist loft in the Empire State Building. After the break, earthquake in Japan. We'll be back in 90 seconds, please stay tuned.
Sadly much of this is the fault of the state and citizens refusing to hold people accountable. In Texas alone, today there are 3000 rape kits from BEFORE 2011 still waiting to be tested according to one article I just looked up. The state really doesn't even care, and the people of the state doesn't press the issue. States quite often break the bank for an extortion case, but in these rapes, which many equate to a living murder.....Let's take the evidence and put it in the back room until we can come up with the money to test it....in 10 years, so that we can let a serial rapist become a serial murderer. No wonder victims don't come forward!!!

One last point, imagine the money that we'd have to test these kits if we stopped prosecuting cases of victimless crime, like simple possession of a plant product, prosecuting prostitutes who are either willing to do the job or unwilling(they shouldn't be prosecuted under either circumstance). While the prosecution of these cases probably don't cost a fortune, incarcerating the guilty does cost a lot of money...probably enough to figure out how many serial rapists exist in Texas alone.
Sorry about the book. There is no simple answer here.

The rape hysteria is largely the result of feminist propaganda about all women being rape/sexual assault victims. Not true of course unless you live somewhere like Guadalajara or the Congo.
Thanks for the reply....one of the bots was my fault.....LOL Problem is that today if you call them liars, even if this is proven false somehow......(like the signature in the yearbook) Some will attack you for it. Bigger problem for those others that said he assaulted/harassed them is that when and if that story is debunked many, probably even some of those on the side of the "victims" will say that they're all lies.
9 people though, plus corroborating witnesses? IDK man, idk. I'd really like to give this guy the benefit of the doubt, but, it's harder, for me, to believe the guy honestly. I don't live in Alabama so really I have no say anyhow.
