Hunger and Poverty Still Haunts 400 Million Children in the World
Indonesia - The number of very poor people living in hunger in the world has declined in the last three decades. Since that number has not yet covered 800 million starving children, or 1/3 of the numbers live in seriously unfavorable conditions.
Thus the results of the analysis say the poor are reduced by 721 million people who earn US $ 1.25 per day compared to 1981. But that number also includes disproportionate number of children, marked by one in three poor and hungry children compared to one in five poor people living in poverty line are children.
In poor countries, the percentage is even worse
We are witnessing a historic movement of people who have pulled themselves out of the poverty line in the last three decades, but the number of poor and hungry children is still a lot and more efforts are needed.
