RE: Universal Basic Income

It doesn't appear to be a socialist program. It appears to be a cryptocurrency airdrop. Well, a weekly airdrop to any human being that signs up to the program. And the free market will determine if these coins will have any value. I read through the white paper and can find nothing that goes against my libertarian outlook.

Volunteers seem to do most of the heavy lifting with the development work. It was seeded by donations from charitable organizations. Those organizations acquire their money not from taxation, but from people who freely decided to donate. This seed money was used to create the crypto blockchain and approximately 10 years worth of airdrops of the coins. But this is hard to figure out accurately and will probably be exhausted sooner. After that, the amount of coins will be inflated at a 3.5% per year, which will be the basis of future weekly airdrops to whomever signed up.

It looks like a really interesting experiment, and I am curious as to how it will go.
