On respawn you will sacrifice the starter planet. You will lose the planet with all ships, merged runes, activated blueprints, all buildings and all resources.
You will get a new empty starter planet in a new location with new coordinates.
Your skills won't be touched.
So all the other planets one already has stay untouched and are still usable as they were, right?
