OCD's support is expanding!

Hello everyone! This is the 2138th compilation post of OCD's latest curation efforts. It has been known that OCD has been supporting leading niche communities under its Community Incubation Program. However, there are still a lot of other niche communities not supported by OCD. This curation initiative will help in supporting those communities.

This newest curation effort aims to encourage authors to post in appropriate communities even if those communities are not under the incubation program. This will also encourage users to explore more into the different communities in Hive.

How this Works

OCD curators and community leaders will find posts from other niche communities and recommend them for an upvote. Unlike those communities in the incubation program where curation is focused, this curation initiative is spread out. This will help find undervalued posts from smaller communities that deserve support.

This will highlight both the author and the community where the post is located. This way, smaller niche communities can focus on growing their subscribers and increasing the engagements within their respective communities. A small boost goes a long way.

Speaking of boost, here are the curated posts for this batch:

Apple Jelly 🍎🍎

Hello! Today I made a sweet treat for my kids. This adorable dessert is apple jelly, artfully presented inside real apple shells. It has a delicious sweet and sour taste that's just right. You can eat the whole cup, making it a perfect idea for a party dessert. If you're interested, please try making this apple jelly recipe yourself.

Cinnamon Cookie - Tarçınlı Kurabiye [ENG/TR]

Hello dear Hive users, today I'm going to share with you the cinnamon cookie recipe I tried for the first time. Making cinnamon recipes, especially in the fall, gives me a sense of peace for no reason. Since it's already October, I decided to take advantage of this opportunity. After my husband @incublus bought the ingredients I was missing from what we had at home, I went to the kitchen and started preparing.

¿Dónde están mis LLAVES? || Where are my KEYS? [Subtitled]

TThat uncomfortable feeling when so many years of work can be lost in just a second is sometimes a recurring one for those of us who work in the Hive ecosystem and on Web 3 in general. What happened in this story is truly true, and through audiovisual content, I try to convey the level of stress I was experiencing at that moment. Modifying my voice slightly through an option on the editing app I use, I recount the ups and downs I experienced when I lost a cell phone and the adrenaline rush I felt trying to recover it.

The Blair Witch Project (1999) | Nattosheru Review [ENG/SPA]

Hello, horror fans. Today I'm going to talk about one of the movies that I found most difficult to watch for various reasons. A classic of the horror genre that managed to revive a filmmaking technique that would change everything in the last century: Found Footage. This low-budget film has caused trauma and scares for more than one generation. Written, produced, and directed by Daniel Myrick and Eduardo Sánchez, this film stars Heather Donahue, Michael C. Williams, and Joshua Leonard. Discover one of the films that scared many campers and young people of my generation.

Breaking in habits.

I’ve fallen into a few habits. Not the best, not the worst, but I grew to dislike them as I see their impact as mainly negative. After writing on Friday, I took a break for a couple of days. I still thought, I made notes, but I didn’t write any posts besides a couple of snaps. And I noticed that I had to change habits yet again.

[ENG/ESP] My Student Got Her First Crochet Order. || Mi alumna recibió su primer pedido de ganchillo.

We started with the front panel using a regular mesh pattern and in about two hours, she was done with the front panel. We made provisions for the neck hole and then proceeded to make the back panel. According to her, her client wanted the back panel of the shrug to be a few inches longer than the front and with short sleeves too. I haven't made a crochet shrug this way before but I was open to trying it out. After all, we learn everyday.

When two non-tilers become tilers =)

To be honest, speed of our work, that part was... let's just say flexible. But if we count only the effective working days, the days when we actually worked, cut, measured, glued, argued a bit and laughed a lot, then it's not so bad. Whole thing just stretched out over months and months. Mostly because of the weather, too cold in winter or too hot in summer and also because of our other jobs. I also spent a good part of last year in my hometown, since I decided to get my driver's license there. Anyway, what matters is that everything looks quite nice together now. Even though we made a lot of mess in the process. 😁 There was glue flying everywhere, some of it found its way to the walls (still don't know how, hihi) and later the grout joined the party. Let's just say we will definitely need to paint them again.

Sencillo e icónico | Obi-Wan Kenobi | The Black Series

Hey geeks!

After a long time, I want to share my review of this figure I have in my collection, Obi-Wan Kenobi, listed as number 32 in Hasbro's Black Series line, released in 2017. I bought this figure several years ago, but it hadn't been opened. I remember it only cost me $10, so it was a bargain for what it is. Although it's a simple figure, it has that iconic Star Wars touch that makes it very special.
