Other Niche Communities Curation Report #855

OCD's support is expanding!

Hello everyone! This is the 855th compilation post of OCD's latest curation efforts. It has been known that OCD has been supporting leading niche communities under its Community Incubation Program. However, there are still a lot of other niche communities not supported by OCD. This curation initiative will help in supporting those communities.

This newest curation effort aims to encourage authors to post in appropriate communities even if those communities are not under the incubation program. This will also encourage users to explore more into the different communities in Hive.

How this Works

OCD curators and community leaders will find posts from other niche communities and recommend them for an upvote. Unlike those communities in the incubation program where curation is focused, this curation initiative is spread out. This will help find undervalued posts from smaller communities that deserve support.

This will highlight both the author and the community where the post is located. This way, smaller niche communities can focus on growing their subscribers and increasing the engagements within their respective communities. A small boost goes a long way.

Speaking of boost, here are the curated posts for this batch:

Cassava or manioc arepitas [ESP - ENG]

The recipe I share with you today is a popular and traditional dish par excellence in our country Venezuela: The arepa. It can be enjoyed at any time in every region of the country and with a variety of fillings. This time made of cassava or manioc, as an alternative to replace refined flour, it is one of my favorite foods!

Una Bruja en la Cocina: "Flaxseed and Chia Seed Bread - Gluten Free and Low in Carbohydrates" [EN] // [ES]

Yesterday after several weeks of waiting they finally told us that my mother is not going to be operated again, at least not right now, however, she will be subjected to a constant review and a fairly strict diet, for starters, I will tell you that they eliminated carbohydrates and sugar from her diet, good these go hand in hand with each other, and immediately she told me you have to help me with the diet! Yesterday if I am honest I did not want to look for information about any of this because I was rather tired, but early today I set out to investigate some alternatives for her, well, I tell you that my mother is like me, addicted to bread, my friends I tell you something, I think it has been easier for me to stop eating bread, I think it has been easier for me to give up cigarettes (for long periods of time) than bread, as some people say in a derogatory way, it is easier to get out of the vice of drugs than the vice of bread with coffee, and the latter is the great vice of my mother, luckily they did not take her coffee, however, now she has to take it without bread and sugar, not easy.

Esp/Eng My entry to the Ladies of Hive Community Contest #105: My personal mantra and my favorite dish!

I find this week's topic interesting, since in our lives we all have rules and principles by which we are governed, either established by ourselves or instilled by our parents; let's move on to the first question.

What does success mean to you?

Success is everyone's dream. People will do anything to be successful. So you train hard for a race until you get injured in order to succeed; you work until you neglect your health in order to succeed; and so on. A successful person has wealth, rank, position, power, recognition, and as much as they want.

After we get one success, we will always want another success. We will never be satisfied with pursuing success. Finally, we will always feel burdened and will never enjoy the success that we have achieved before.

Iniciativa “Celebrando el día mundial del Pan” en Hive Food - Mi primer Pan Dulce |

I can't decide which is my favorite bread, they all have their moment to shine on the table hehehehe. The Ham Bread, Christmas tradition, although in recent years has been difficult because of the cost, it is always present to accompany dinner, the Pan Campesino with a rich coffee with milk, the Pan Arab to prepare a roll for dinner on a weekend and sweets like Catalinas, the Acemita Tocuyana, the Guava Bread, God all are a delight that I wish I knew how to prepare.

“Thanks For Being A Great Neighbor”

Living in Japan I have gotten used to goodbyes from foreigners passing through the long dragon 🐉 shaped island. But I’m really gonna miss Stephanie. Not just because she’s good looking, but she had a real charm to her. She knew what she wanted and didn’t settle for less. She is also a fitness freak, something I am trying to get into. And the whip cream on the french toast, she is a lesbian so I got to ask her all those questions I never had the chance to ask other lady loving ladies.

Halloween Decorations in Japan

In the classroom setting in Japan, it’s common to see foreign teachers of English doing Halloween lessons at this time of year. Students often exchange chocolates, sweets and other snacks. Some teachers may do pumpkin carving as an activity. Students enjoy making Jack-o-lanterns and many go on group trips to enjoy Halloween celebrations at Universal Studios of Japan.

What a province boy did after the Typhoon Paeng?

Typhoon after a typhoon. Our country, Philippines has been hit again by a typhoon goes by the name Paeng. Different parts of the country were ravaged and submerged in floods. Also a lot of properties were severely destroyed, life were lost left and right plus the damage in the sector of agriculture is just so heart breaking. It's really be a nightmare for Filipinos now, especially for those who have been severely affected. While I was checking on my relatives in different places, I couldn't help but to be sad to see the damage caused by this typhoon. There's another one again but I'm praying that it will not continue to form anymore.

My mind has been simplified 🙇🏻‍♀️

Physically, something amazing happens to me. When I get rid of (give away or throw away) items or clothes that I don't use or that I simply have what I need, I literally feel something leaving my body. As if the object comes out, not only from my hands, but from my body as well. Obviously I love to feel this ✨ Maybe it's a product of my mind 😂, but I can assure you that it happens to me.

El lado malo de ser mujer [Esp-Eng].

For me this weekend was going to be special, we had already planned on Saturday to get into the kitchen and dedicate ourselves to make "pan de muerto", which has become a tradition for me and my husband for about 4 years, we already had all the things ready and bought, but I did not count on the cunning of my body and its hormones.
