It no longer a news that we are in 2018, i think every human being on earth irrespective of the time zone has fully launch 2018 calendar, because as for me here in Nigeria, almost 72 hours is already going out of the new year 2018 but the issue is what depict or makes it new because as i observe my calendar, i see that the exact calendar of 2018 has being used in the following years 2007, 2001, 1990, 1979 to mention but a few and this means that the newness in the new year is not in the calendar.
Let journey a bit to see the misconception of people on what depict the newness and the real thing.
The number of seconds, minutes, hours contain in other days is the same contain in the first day of a new year even there is no difference in the way they break.
Some count the newness as an avenue to where new cloth and merry around but this set of people have forgotten that there are people who wear new cloth everyday and also merry daily, then I challenge those people that how will there new year be if they have no money to purchase new cloth or merry around?
Finally, I conclude on this point that what should be depict the newness of a year is a mind blowing resolution couple a strong determination to achieve some better than the previous years. A mind of good, better, best. Going in line that this new year achievement will surpass that of the previous years. It is only when one fulfil this that the newness is really achieve.
