TEARS FOR MY COUNTRY!!!!

in #nigeria7 years ago

Today marks 57 years 2months and 22days my country is free from colonial dictatorship. Ever since then Nigeria had been ruled by many political leaders.

According to the constitution of my country in the area of political participation, eligibility to national parliament start at the age of 40 years and above, so there is a strong evidence that the youth are being left behind in political activities.

The former secreatary general of the united nation Mr koffi Annan says I quote "no one is born a citizen, no nation is born a democracy, the both process evolve over time. Any nation who fail to carry it youth along in leadership is condemned to bleed to death.

Although the elders are believe to be wise, experienced and all times justifiable in making decision.
When they are campaigning, they said they are like us, they said they had no shoes, they promised us heaven and earth and also tell us they will give us amenities we desire. After a period of their tenure (4years), see what is happening in my country.

They deliberately under equipped our soldiers so that they will be perish. When the citizen agitate for justice and freedom they are termed as terrorist, when individual request for his/her right he/she end up nowhere. Almost all sectors in Nigeria is corrupted, the judiciary are liars, the legislative and representative in the national arm of government are thief, and the educational sector is depreciating in value while the agricultural sector is left unattended to. Many of the citizen stood up as a Volunteers fighter to fight against insurgency but they end up being harassed.

Meanwhile, despite the cry of the nation they dance while we suffer. Citizen attribute all these to their fault and continue to abuse and blame oneself on social media for their collective suffering while the hopeless leaders continue to dance.

Dancing continue.........

The main point is that when are we going to wake up and realized that we are suffering and blaming each other for it. The solution is in our hand, Nigeria should stop tribalism and let unit together against our corrupted leader.

Hi @qheney,
This is the reason we all must use our power (voters' card) during the next election to ensure we put the right people in power. God help this country.
Thanks for sharing.

@largerben

Amen. You're welcome

All we owe our country is prayer.
And when is time to perform your civic duties...
Please choose rightly

God will delivered Nigeria. Hope your message is not politically and ethnic motivated because of your choice of image... We are in the present and what is happening is grossly alarming

Not really what you think, the picture i chose is those within my disposal

When we can put aside our differences and unite for the common good of the nation, Nigeria will move forward.

I think you would have enclosed ina bracket graphic content ffor those who cannot withstand the sight of blood.

OK thanks for the observation
