Running from New York

But there is no escape. There are sanctuaries and the masks we wear, but neither free us full from the madness of Manhattan. Being in Brooklyn can be the release of a pressure valve, or the longest, coldest night of February. It's not a city for leisure. It's a hustler's city. Rise and grind. Wake up and make something happen. Why else are you here - 8 million stories and no one gives a fuck about yours. And know with those 8 million there are 8 million more, maybe more. A duplicitous and devious city.

Think Gotham before dawn. An now with the politics, and the world's worries wobbling woefully, what better stage for the saga. But if nuke bombs blew New York to pulverization there is no way we'd even feel it. Maybe in that moment our souls are leaving our bodies they'll connect with our loved ones once more. The end of the world. Imagine that? What an epic time to have lived - a hell of a story for the other side.

I considered if capitalism has cannibalized itself. How culpable are we, the American people? To take a hard look at our duty as the citizens. I didn't ask for this, but I have been born into the duty of regulating the greatest world powers ever, as a citizen of the United States of America, 2017. When you descend they target you. Activists will be coerced into believing there is no possibility for fundamental change, so they compromise. Some can be convinced they have the facts wrong, and brought to believe there is no possibility for fundamental change. The renegades that resist, recognize the corruption and coercion are ostracized and labelled radical. But the fight must go on.

The nice thing is that in the world we live today, we have a lot of opportunity to bring change.
