We at @ocd are very happy to see how big @ocdb has grown and we are very glad to see the community value our efforts to help distribution on the platform without taking a cut for ourselves. The creation of @ocdb and the whitelist is thanks to all of our curators at @ocd and a few devs that helped create and maintain it knowing it will be pro bono and help the Steem blockchain. Thanks to @jga and @theuxyeti for the bot and website and thanks to @pharesim for helping maintain it.
As we've been a bit overwhelmed by the huge delegations lately, the account has grown to 3.1M+ SP, we wanted to let everyone know about the curation rewards that the account generates. Since we are a nonprofit project all of the curation rewards and bids gets sent back to the delegators, what this means though is that we have to keep feeding @ocdb liquid Steem so it can pay out the curation rewards. The reason we are a bit overwhelmed is cause we weren't expecting to grow this big this fast, but rest assured that those rewards will be sent out sooner or later all at once when we have the liquids to send to it (we are working on that right now and might require the @ocdb account to start a power down).
So I just wanted to get that out there and hopefully the delegators aren't too worried about it. We recently also raised the max bid to 20 SBD and the equivalent in Steem (currently about 50 STEEM), so if you are whitelisted feel free to give it a try but remember to do so on quality posts. :)

According to the Hivemind, [@ocdb] is the 5th largest account in terms of vote weight in the platform.
I was wondering how this was being handled but wasn't worried. I know everything is going to get fixed and paid out when it's sorted.

Helping distribution by giving 90%+ to those doing nothing and leaving next to nothing to the content creators. I had a go with bots about a year ago. It wasn't too bad when there were at least some people with SP to actually upvote content that had a little exposure. These days bots will just get a handful of $0.01 upvotes. Most people are also aware that upvoting bot bought content reaps very low curation rewards. I make it a point to look for content not promoted by bots.
If you really care about promoting content work with someone developing a frontend that has promotion built in. I wouldn't mind paying a frontend $5 a post for some real exposure.
