Dogs have a bloated blocksize relative to cats and rely too much on known trusted actors... Over time, this 'loyalty' leads to unwavering and unquestioned trust of these familiar nodes which leads to a further centralising of their behaviour.
Cats have a much nimbler zero-care proof of ownership protocol which means all transactions with them are quicker and more importantly trustless. Familiar nodes are established by are easily discarded as warranted by the situation.
