Building My Hive

Why I am Choosing The Hive

After much deliberation I have come to the the decision that The Hive will be where I am going to put my time, money and Input into.

Blockchain’s are and will be the way of the future. Wether it’s blogging, mining or using its algorithm for added security. But one thing that has frustrated me is the false sense that development teams put out along side their platforms.

”This is the next big thing!”

”We will be bigger than Facebook!”

”Get ready for a bull run!”

These are the sort of things you read and hear when you are using these platforms and all of the above are utter shit talk.

Now don’t get me wrong, most of the time the intentions Of these people are good and if you had a product, you too would want to sell it to others as the next big thing. I mean why wouldn’t you.
Now I have used my own money and purchased Alt-coins on various platforms as I believe that this is how is none developer minded people can contribute to the growth and yes I have not lost that investment as it is sat in my accounts. The thing is though, what are the site development team doing to give me a return and most of the time the answer is nothing.

Too Many Spinning Plates

Those who blog on multiple platforms will know fine well where I am coming from with this.

When you are socialising and/or blogging through many different platforms, it is difficult to balance your own time and keep up with others on the blockchain. It’s like when you remove your dirty clothes and place them in the washing basket. You wouldn’t wash them right away. Instead you wait until that washing has built up and you have a decent amount to do all at once. This is what happens here. You get chatting to people on one platform and they have this great idea so you follow along with them but then Joe Blogs on another platform also what’s your input and you think well I can still manage to help. Then you realise that you have used all your time helping others and your own reason for being on the platform yourself has now diluted.

It’s not just your time though...

If you are going to use your fiat to buy coins. You want to know that what you are buying will pay off for the effort you put in. This is why I have made the decision to focus on one platform. I will however still manage my other platforms but will not be giving them the focus that I believe Hive will return.

So what now!?

Well now I start here with a fresh look and a chance to build my reputation (as I have before) within this fine community.
I would like to get to a point where I can release some contests and help newcomers get a more rewarding experience in a quicker time.

Until then though I will keep plugging and reading away.

Thanks for reading x

Yep, Hive is where I am mostly focusing my content and have done over the last couple of years, have to say, it's been well worth it! Pretty much ditched my FB page as a musician, only post there through virtue of my blog site.

Great to hear you're looking to help with contests, I also Co run a fun contest each month with @plantstoplanks @cheese4ead and @foxyspirit called @yourtop3 which is open to everyone and doing our bit to keep things fun and engaging so feel free to hang around and join in the merriment 🙂

Hey @nickyhavey thanks for the comment.
When I get going on the blockchain I forget that Facebook exists lol. I have ran some of the best contests on other platforms and have had some amazing ideas for formats.

The above is my own graphics. I would host various contests and sponsor other contests too. Hopefully I will start something like this on Hive.
Look forward to checking out your content and thanks for stopping by.

Well, to put FB into perspective, I posted results from a poll that a about 4 people on FB voted on (out of 12,500 people who like the page) and it showed my post to 1 PERSON! Totally pointless having and you're right, as soon as I'm on HIVE, that's where I stay haha!

Nice graphics there, be good to check your contests out too when you get around to finalising them here!
